A) Miracles of Muhammad (PBUH)

Miracles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) or miracles granted to Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah (God) be upon him):

-          Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) picked up the pebbles (small dead stones) and they recited Kalima (i.e. dead matter came to life) i.e. Muhammad (PBUH) brought the dead to life. Note this is also a similarity to Moses as Moses (PBUH) by the permission of Allah turned his staff into a snake (Wooden Staff was also a dead matter just like the stones). Deuteronomy 18:18 (See here details http://neurotherapy-of-christian-brain.blogspot.ae/2012/11/26-proofs-from-bible-on-muhammads.html
-
He parted the Moon in to two pieces. http://neurotherapy-of-christian-brain.blogspot.ae/2012/12/moon-splitting-miracle-of-prophet.html
-
Food Multiplication: Jabir reported: My father had died in debt. So I came to the Prophet and said, "My father (died) leaving unpaid debts, and I have nothing except the yield of his date palms; and their yield for many years will not cover his debts. So please come with me, so that the creditors may not misbehave with me." The Prophet went round one of the heaps of dates and invoked (Allah), and then did the same with another heap and sat on it and said, "Measure (for them)." He paid them their rights and what remained was as much as had been paid to them.
-
Water Multiplication: `Abdullah reported: We used to consider miracles as Allah's Blessings, but you people consider them to be a warning. Once we were with Allah's Messenger on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, "Bring the water remaining with you." The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, "Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah." I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Allah's Messenger, and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him). (Reported by al-Bukhari)
-
Crying of the stem of the Date-palm Tree: Al-Bukhari reported on the authority of Ibn `Umar who said: The Prophet used to deliver his sermons while standing beside a trunk of a date-palm. When he had the pulpit made, he used it instead. The trunk started crying and the Prophet went to it, rubbing his hand over it (to stop its crying).
-
The Prophet's Night Journey to Jerusalem and Ascent to the Heavens: The opening verse of surat al-Isra' relates the miracle of the Prophet's night journey to Jerusalem. Regarding the Statement of Allah, (And We granted the vision (Ascension to the heavens) which We made you see (as an actual eye witness) was only made as a trial for the people.) (Al-Isra' 17:60) Ibn `Abbas added: "The sights which Allah's Messenger was shown on the Night Journey when he was taken to Bayt-ul-Maqdis (i.e. Jerusalem) were actual sights, (not dreams). And the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Qur'an is the tree of Zaqqum (itself)." (Reported by al-Bukhari) http://neurotherapy-of-christian-brain.blogspot.com/2012/10/ascension-to-heavens-one-night-journey.html

Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 13, Number 55:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Once in the lifetime of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) the people were afflicted with drought (famine). While the Prophet was delivering the Khutba on a Friday, a Bedouin stood up and said, "O, Allah's Apostle! Our possessions are being destroyed and the children are hungry; Please invoke Allah (for rain)". So the Prophet raised his hands. At that time there was not a trace of cloud in the sky. By Him in Whose Hands my soul is as soon as he lowered his hands, clouds gathered like mountains, and before he got down from the pulpit, I saw the rain falling on the beard of the Prophet. It rained that day, the next day, the third day, the fourth day till the next Friday. The same Bedouin or another man stood up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! The houses have collapsed, our possessions and livestock have been drowned; Please invoke Allah (to protect us)"So the Prophet raised both his hands and said, "O Allah! Round about us and not on us". So, in whatever direction he pointed with his hands, the clouds dispersed and cleared away, and Medina's (sky) became clear as a hole in between the clouds. The valley of Qanat remained flooded, for one month, none came from outside but talked about the abundant rain.

HOW THE PROPHET (SAAS) REPLACED QATADA’S EYE:

Al-Bayhaqi stated, in the Dalail (The Signs), “Abu Sad al-Malini informed us quoting Abu Ahmed b. Adi, quoting Abu Yala, quoting Yahya al-Himmant, quoting Abd al-Aziz b. Sulayman b. al-Ghasil, fromAsim b. Umar b. Qatada, from his father, from his grandfather Qatada b. al-Numan, that his eye was wounded at Badr and that its pupil came down on his cheekbone. They were about to slice it off, but asked the Messenger of God (SAAS) who said they should not do this. He then said a prayer for him, covering his cheek with his palm. And later you could not tell which of his eyes had been struck!”

According to one account, this became the better eye.

An account came down to us from the Commander of the Believers, Umar b. Abd al- Aziz that when he was told this account by Asim b. Umar b. Qatada, he also recited:

“I am the son of him on whose cheek his eye descended,
which was replaced so well by the hand of the Chosen-One.”

Upon hearing this, Umar b. Abd al-Aziz, God bless him, quoted very appropriately the verse of Umayya b. Abd al-Salt of Ibn Dhu Yazin,

“These fine qualities are not like two bowls with milk
merely whitening the water that soon becomes urine.” (Pg 298)

The Life of Muhammad saw is a Testimony of his Prophet-hood.

The greatest miracle of Muhammad saw is Quran and Muhammad saw had many other miracles. But just studying his life in itself is an evidence of his Prophet hood.

Here we have a man, who for forty years was leading a normal life. The outstanding thing about the life of Muhammad saw in the first 40 years was his morality and character. But Rasool saw did not show any signs of aspiration to power or influence. None of that at all. Rasool saw was leading a normal life and then suddenly after the age of 40, Rasool Allah saw brings about the greatest change that the world has ever seen. That’s an irony. That’s a miracle. Rasool Allah saw was illiterate. He could not read or write. And then he presents the world with the greatest book, ever produced. And we could go on and on… the list of ironies of things that are only explained if Muhammad saw was a messenger of Allah. Who had divine help. Otherwise its impossible. There is no  way to explain the Seerah , except to admit that he was a nabi from Allah. It is impossible for a person to achieve, what Muhammad saw achieved without being assisted by Allah Subhana Watala through revelation. So it’s a testimony of his prophet hood.

There you have Muhammad saw leading a normal life for the first 40 years. Then suddenly he becomes a political leader, military leader, religious leader, head of a large house hold, law maker, teacher, Imam and go on and on the list of the things that Prophet Muhammad saw used to do. All of this was done within a span of 23 years. Impossible!

The miracle of the termites eating the document: The issue comes here of the soldiers of Allah, “No one knows of the soldiers of Allah but He.” Who would imagine that termites would be soldiers of Allah??!

Another miracle of Rusool Allah (saW) was the wrestling of Rusool Allah (saw) with Rukaana. Rukaana was the strongest wrestler in Mecca, he had never ever lost a wrestling match. Rukaana came to Muhammad (saW) and he said, “Would you challenge me?” Rusool Allah (saw) amazingly accepted the challenge. Rukaana being a disbeliever obviously wanted to humiliate Muhammad (saw), and probably wanted a chance to get his hands on Muhammad (saw). The deal was that whoever wins will get a 100 sheep. So this incident happened before betting was haraam. They started to fight and Rusool Allah (saw) was able to turn Rukaana upside down and throw him on the ground. Rukaana couldn’t believe what happened, he stood up again and he tried to fight another time, Rusool Allah (Saw) did the same thing to him again. Rukaana tried a third time, and then he lost.
Rukaana then said, “Muhammad, no one has ever put my back on the ground before you. And no one was more hateful in my sight before this, than you. But now I testify that there is no God but Allah, and that you are the messenger of Allah.” Rusool Allah (saw) got the 100 sheep, but then he gave it back to Rukaana and he said, “Keep the sheep.” This shows the strength that Rusool Allah (saw) had, he had the strength of 30 men.

The Miracles that Allah Granted to the
Prophet Muhammad (saas) prior to ALLAH's Message (Quran) started to be given from age 40 to 63
According to historical texts, Muhammad (saas) was given the honour of being a prophet when he was forty years old. But, before he received any revelations, certain miraculous events took place in his life that gave indications as to his future.
The midwife present at his birth, ash-Shifa, the mother of the famed companion 'Abdur-Rahman ibn 'Awf, said that when the Prophet (saas) was born into her hands and sneezed, she heard someone say 'May Allah h

ave mercy on you!' and she stated that the entire horizon became illuminated (Abu Nu'aym).
The Prophet (saas) was always shaded when he travelled. Khadijah mentioned that she saw two angels shading her husband while he travelled (Ibn Sa'd), while Halima, his foster-mother among the desert tribe of Bani Sa'd ibn Bakr, said that she saw a cloud shade him while he was with her. Once while the Prophet (saas) was on a journey, he sat down under a dry tree to rest. The tree grew and spread out and according to some traditions, the shadow of the tree inclined towards the Prophet (saas) to shade him. The area surrounding the tree also became lush and green.
Nearing the time of his Prophethood, the dreams that the Prophet (saas) saw in his sleep foreshadowed things that were to come true. According to hadith, these dreams occurred over a period of about six months. The eminent Islamic scholar, Imam al-Bukhari, gives an account of these dreams in his collection.
Aisha narrated: 'The first thing with which the revelation began for the Messenger of Allah (saas) was correct dreams in sleep. He never saw a dream but that it came like the breaking of the dawn.' (Al-Bukhari)
Islamic scholars explain that the reason for the dreams coming true in this manner was to prepare Muhammad (saas) in his sleep for the great responsibility of prophethood.

The Miracle of the Revelation
Undoubtedly, the greatest miracle that was granted to the Prophet Muhammad (saas) was Allah's revelation of the Qur'an to him. The Prophet (saas) was chosen by Allah to impart His message to mankind. This was a great responsibility, as the Qur'an outlines:
You who are enwrapped in your clothing! Stay up at night, except a little, half of it, or a little less, or a little more, and recite the Qur'an distinctly. We will impose a weighty Word upon you. Certainly rising at night has a stronger effect and is more conducive to concentration. In the daytime much of your time is taken up by business matters. Remember the Name of your Lord, and devote yourself to Him completely. (Surat al-Muzzammil: 1-8)
The Revelation
The first revelation came soon after Muhammad (saas) began seeing the true dreams. It was because of these dreams that he had started to retreat to Ghar Hira' (the cave of Hira') on Jabal an-Nur (the Mountain of Light) about twelve kilometres from Makkah. While he was alone in the cave during the month of Ramadan, when the Prophet (saas) was forty years of age, the angel Jibril appeared to him and asked him to recite. These events are fully described in the hadith:
Aisha narrated: The first thing with which the revelation began for the Messenger of Allah (saas) was correct dreams in sleep. He never saw a dream but that it came like the breaking of the dawn. He used to go in seclusion to (the cave of) Hira' where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many nights. He used to take provision with him for that (stay) and then like-wise come back to Khadijah to take his food again for another period. Then suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira'. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read.
The Prophet replied, 'I do not know how to read.' (The Prophet added), 'The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created. Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous … that which he knew not." (Surat al-'Alaq: 1-5)' Then Allah's Messenger returned with it… (Al-Bukhari)

Warqa Bin Noffel, was an old and wise man, and one of the learned men in Makkah who believed in Moses, Jesus and other prophets in the Bible. Warqa was a close relative of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He knew of the prophet that would come from Arabia. He had a strong feeling that Muhammad (pbuh) might be this prophet, but he never told him or others until the Angel Gabriel came to Muhammad (pbuh), Warqa was the cousin and guardian to Khadijah, the first wife of Prophet Muhammad and he arranged their marriage, because of the strong feeling he had that Muhammad would be the prophet. After seeing Gabriel in Hera, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told Khadijah of what happened. The next day Khadijah took him to visit Warqa to tell him what had happened. Warqa knew immediately that Muhammad (pbuh) had been chosen to be the messenger of God from Arabia. He told Muhammad (pbuh) that he would immigrate from Makkah and would join many battles. Warqa wanted to support Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in these battles, but died after two months.

There are also a number of verses in the Qur'an that describe the Prophet (saas)'s encounter with Jibril and the revelation of the Qur'an to him:
Your companion is not misguided or misled; nor does he speak from whim. It is nothing but Revelation revealed, taught him by one immensely strong. Possessing power and splendour. He stood there stationary – there on the highest horizon. Then he drew near and hung suspended. He was two bow-lengths away or even closer. Then He revealed to His slave what He revealed. His heart did not lie about what he saw. What! Do you dispute with him about what he saw? (Surat an-Najm: 2-12)
According to some interpretations of the Qur'an, these verses refer to the revelation of the Qur'an, however, some other interpretations take these verses to refer to the Mi'raj (ascent through the heavens).
Several other verses attest to the fact that it was Jibril who delivered the Qur'an from Allah to the Prophet (saas). In these verses Jibril is also referred to as 'The Purest Ruh' or 'The Faithful Ruh.'
Say: 'Anyone who is the enemy of Jibril should know that it was he who brought it down upon your heart, by Allah's authority, confirming what came before, and as guidance and good news for the believers.' (Surat al-Baqarah: 97)
Say: 'The Purest Ruh has brought it down from your Lord with truth, to make those who have iman firm, and as guidance and good news for the Muslims.' (Surat an-Nahl: 102)
Truly it is revelation sent down by the Lord of all the worlds. The Faithful Ruh brought it down to your heart so you would be one of the Warners. (Surat ash-Shu'ara': 192-194)
This last verse shows that the Qur'an was revealed right to the heart of the Prophet (saas). This was a mercy from Allah to the Prophet (saas) as Allah says in the Qur'an:
But [We allowed the revelation to remain and endure] as a mercy from your Lord. His favour to you is indeed immense. (Surat al-Isra': 87)
You did not expect to be given the Book. It is nothing but a mercy from your Lord… (Surat al-Qasas: 86)
After the first verses were revealed, there is a tradition that the revelations to the Prophet (saas) ceased for a certain time. The hadith tell us that, when the revelations resumed, the next set of verses received were the first verses of Surat al-Muddaththir:
You who are enveloped in your cloak! Arise and warn. Magnify your Lord. (Surat al-Muddaththir: 1-3)
After receiving these verses, the Prophet (saas) obeyed this command from Allah and assumed his responsibility of proclaiming the revelation. The Prophet (saas) continued to receive Divine Revelation from this time until his death, twenty-three years later.
The State of the Prophet (saas) While He was Receiving Revelation
There are descriptions in the hadith of what it was like for the Prophet (saas) to receive revelation. For example, when the revelations came, those present with the Prophet (saas) report that they heard a sound like the buzzing of bees. Some sources say that there was a sound like a bee buzzing around the Prophet (saas)'s face. A number of hadith describe the state of the Prophet (saas) while he was receiving revelation.
Aisha narrated: Al-Harith ibn Hisham asked the Prophet (saas), 'How does the revelation come to you?' He replied, 'In all of that the angel comes to me, sometimes with a voice that resembles the sound of a ringing bell, and when this state abandons me, I remember what the angel has said, and this type of revelation is the hardest on me; and sometimes the angel comes to me in the shape of a man and talks to me, and I understand and remember what he says.' (Al-Bukhari)
Aisha narrated: 'I saw the Prophet (saas) receiving revelation on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead.' (Al-Bukhari and At-Tirmidhi)
Zayd ibn Thabit narrated: 'I wrote the revelations from Allah to the Prophet (saas). When the revelation came to him he felt a great weariness and had beads of sweat like pearls. When the state of revelation ended he recited, and I would write.' (At-Tabarani) 1
Abu Hurayrah narrated: 'When the revelation came from Allah to the Prophet (saas) it was as if he had fainted.' (Abu Nu'aym) 2

Abu Lahab Punishment declared by Allah in the Quran during his life i.e. 10 years before the death of Abu Lahab:
Allah swt revealed the surah Al-Masad (111:1-2) May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he (1) His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained (2)
Allah (swt) says that his wealth will do him no good. The people who rush after wealth in duniya, duniya will do them no good, if they don’t live it in the light of Islam. This surah is a miracle of the Quran, because it says that Abu Lahab and his wife are in hell-fire. These ayat were revealed when they were alive, if Abu Lahab and his wife wanted to prove the Quran wrong, they could have become Muslims, but they remained disbelievers till the day they died. This surah talks about an event that didn’t happen yet.

The Qur'an was Revealed to the Heart of the Prophet (saas)
Allah revealed the Qur'an in stages over a period of twenty-three years, right to the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (saas):
Those who are kafir say, 'Why was the Qur'an not sent down to him all in one go?' It is so that We can fortify your heart by it. We have recited it distinctly little by little. (Surat al-Furqan: 32)
Throughout the period of revelation, Allah supported His Prophet (saas) and helped him to impart His message correctly to people. Allah advised the Prophet (saas) about how to recite the Qur'an:
Do not move your tongue trying to hasten it. Its collection and recitation are Our affair. So when We recite it, follow its recitation. Then its explanation is Our concern. (Surat al-Qiyamah: 16-19)
High exalted be Allah, the King, the Real! Do not rush ahead with the Qur'an before its revelation to you is complete, and say: 'My Lord, increase me in knowledge.' (Surah Ta Ha: 114)
He also helped the Prophet (saas) to commit the verses to memory:
We will cause you to recite so that you do not forget. (Surat al-A'la: 6)
The ability of the Prophet (saas)'s to learn all the verses of the Qur'an in this way was another miracle that Allah gave to him. It made the da'wah work of the Prophet (saas) easier by his being able to recall the verses when he needed to:
We will ease you to the Easy Way. (Surat al-A'la: 8)
It was also Allah's way of protecting the Qur'an and ensuring that it could not be distorted or forgotten, a miracle that continues down to this day with the enormous numbers of people who commit the Qur'an to memory (huffaz).
Recite what has been revealed to you of your Lord's Book. No one can change His Words. You will never find any safe haven apart from Him. (Surat al-Kahf: 27)
The Qur'an is the Word of Allah revealed for all humanity, for all time. The reasons that the Qur'an can be considered a miracle are too numerous in themselves to be listed. However, there are three main reasons that distinguish the Qur'an as a miracle: its literary excellence, its content and its protection by Allah.
The Literary Excellence of the Qur'an
The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic to the Arabs as explained in the Qur'an:
If We had made it a Qur'an in a foreign tongue they would have said, 'Why have its Signs not been made plain? What! A foreign language for an Arab?' (Surah Fussilat: 44)
In order to better understand the literary excellence of the Qur'an, it is necessary to learn about the language of the Arabs to whom the Qur'an was revealed. In Arabia, before the advent of Islam, poetry and literature were highly developed. There were stunningly original poets and fluent and eloquent individuals who used the Arabic language superlatively well. The literary men of a tribe were considered on a par with the people's greatest heroes. Because of the importance placed on literature and rhetoric, the Mu'allaqat (seven odes written by seven poets) were written in gold letters and suspended on the walls of the Ka'bah. 3 Some of them were recited to the people on great occasions such as the fair at Ukkaz. Even the Bedouin nomads could sometimes give recitations of poetry as good as or better than any composed by poets in the cities and people would be moved by their recitations. 4
Therefore, it was at that time, when eloquence and style of language were well developed, that the Qur'an was revealed. As the Prophet (saas) recited the Qur'an to the unbelievers of Makkah, even these literary individuals could not fail to be impressed by it. Some people converted to Islam simply on hearing the beautiful verses – most famously Umar ibn al-Khattab, who was one of the fiercest opponents of Islam, converted to Islam upon reading the first verses of Surah Ta-Ha.
Some people did not embrace Islam upon hearing the Qur'an, but they could not find a response to it. The unbelievers mocked the Prophet (saas) accusing him of writing the Qur'an himself:
Those who are kafir say, 'This is nothing but a lie he has invented and other people have helped him to do it. They have brought injustice and falsehood.' (Surat al-Furqan: 4)
They say, 'It is myths of previous peoples which he has had transcribed and which are read out to him in the morning and the evening.' (Surat al-Furqan: 5)
Allah gave the wisest response to the elaborately decorated rhetoric of the Arabs, and to their most famous poets and finest orators, and presented to them the challenge of producing something like it.
If you have doubts about what We have sent down to Our slave, produce another surah equal to it, and call your witnesses, besides Allah, if you are telling the truth. (Surat al-Baqarah: 23)
Do they say, 'He has invented it'? Say: 'Then produce a surah like it and call on anyone you can besides Allah if you are telling the truth.' (Surah Yunus: 38)
But Allah knows that no-one can or ever will be able to achieve this:
Say: 'If both men and jinn banded together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could never produce anything like it, even if they backed each other up.' (Surat al-Isra': 88)
Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Say, 'Then produce ten invented surahs like this, and call on anyone you can besides Allah if you are telling the truth.' If they do not respond to you then know that it has been sent down with Allah's knowledge and that there is no god but Him. So will you not become Muslims? (Surah Hud: 13-14)
Do they say, 'He has invented it'? Say: 'Then produce a surah like it and call on anyone you can besides Allah if you are telling the truth.' No, the fact is that they have denied something which their knowledge does not embrace and the meaning of which has not yet reached them. In the same way those before them also denied the truth. See the final fate of the wrongdoers! (Surah Yunus: 38-39)
The great Islamic thinker, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says of the impact of the revelation of the Qur'an on the Arabs:
When the Qur'an came, it challenged at the same time the experts in these four fields. First, it made the men of eloquence bow down before it. They all listened to it with amazement. Second, it stunned the poets and orators so that they bit their fingers in astonishment. Their most beautiful poems written in gold were given a blow, and the famous Seven Poems that were placed on the walls of the Ka'bah as an object of pride were brought down. Third, it also silenced the soothsayers and magicians, made them forget about their discoveries of hidden knowledge, resulted in the expulsion of the jinn from the heavens, and brought the process of divination to a certain end. Fourth, it rescued from myth and fabrications those who were cognisant of the events of bygone times and the facts of cosmology, teaching them the real story of past events and the illuminating knowledge of the facts of creation. Thus did those four groups bow down before the Qur'an in astonishment and respect and become its students. None of them ever dared dispute with a single verse of it. 5
The Qur'an is written in such a way that no human being could ever reproduce anything like it. The Arabic language itself is very pure; it is not like the Arabic language spoken by Arabs today. The Qur'an gives its message clearly and concisely, yet eloquently. Numerous metaphors and expressions are used to make clear the message of the Qur'an.
We have variegated throughout this Qur'an all kinds of examples for people, but, more than anything else, man is argumentative! (Surat al-Kahf: 54)
It is a book of great depth and layers of meanings. However, even a superficial read of the Qur'an will reveal that there are a limited number of words (some two thousand) in the whole of the Qur'an which have been used to convey a vast range of commands, concepts and facts. It is this repetition that makes the Book easy to understand and to remember by those who read it:
And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember… (Surat al-Qamar: 17)
Yet despite apparent repetition of key themes, the Qur'an never feels repetitive and even if one reads it repeatedly throughout one's lifetime one can never fail to appreciate its elegance or tire of reading it.
Allah has sent down the Supreme Discourse, a Book consistent in its frequent repetitions. (Surat az-Zumar: 23)
The Content of the Qur'an
The Qur'an is unique in its content because it is a Divine revelation. It contains guidance from Allah for all mankind; it helps people to recognise their own selves; it gives information about the past and the future that no human beings or spirits could know; and all it reveals is true. In addition, some scientific matters that have only recently come to light with the aid of twentieth and twenty-first century technology were alluded to in the Qur'an some 1400 years ago.
With the sublime wisdom it contains, the truth it reveals about the past and the future and its revelations that dispel ignorance and uncover the secrets of human dispositions, the Qur'an has no equal. Its miraculous character is relevant to all human beings that have been and will be created. Its commands and prohibitions are valid until the Day of Judgement. It was, is and will be applicable for all time and for all people, from the day it was revealed until the Last Day.
… This is nothing but a reminder for all human beings. (Surat al-Muddaththir: 31)
… But it is nothing less than a reminder for all the Worlds. (Surat al-Qalam: 52)
Allah has, in many verses throughout the Qur'an, outlined His attributes, His might and His favours to His creation. He reveals that He has created the universe; that He is free of worldly needs; that He is free of defects; that He is All-Knowing and All-Seeing. This is important for us to gain a better understanding of the One Whom we worship, so that we can be grateful for His bounties and strive further to please Him. In addition, Allah also speaks to us directly, individually and socially, Muslims and non-Muslims, giving reassurance and support, good news and a warning. He tells us that He is our friend and helper and that human beings should call on Him in times of need.
Since Allah is the Creator of all things, He knows what is best for His creation, both as individuals and as a whole. Therefore, He has outlined in the Qur'an the boundaries of His law (Shariah) within which we should act. Allah has clearly explained in the Qur'an what is right and what is wrong; what is lawful and what is forbidden:
It is He Who sent down the Book to you from Him: ayats containing clear judgements – they are the core of the book… (Surah Al 'Imran: 7)
The guidance contained in the Qur'an is full of wisdom and can be grasped without difficulty. The commands and prohibitions enjoined in its verses are clear and easily understandable. An individual with sincere intentions whom Allah has guided to the Right Path can understand these without difficulty and can practise them fully in his actions.
However, the Qur'an is much more than a book of rules. Allah has revealed in the Qur'an how to be sound in body and spirit and what to do in times of difficulty and unexpected adversity and He has described various kinds of human character. Allah has revealed verses that give us the knowledge to solve problems in daily life both as individuals and as a community. In other words, the Qur'an contains all the basic knowledge necessary for every moment in the life of a person or a community, no matter how trivial it may seem.
However, it is only those who fear Allah and abide by His commands and prohibitions, and who submit to Him in their heart and choose the next world over this one, who are able to consider the counsel given in the Qur'an. Allah says in the Qur'an:
Will they then not meditate on the Qur'an, or are there locks on the hearts? (Surah Muhammad: 24)
In order to help us carry out the commands of Allah in our daily lives, the Qur'an tells us of past nations and peoples that have denied or disobeyed Allah. We learn of their end and how they were punished, so that we too may learn a lesson from history. This is a grace from Allah for us.
That is some of the news of the cities which We relate to you. Some of them are still standing, while others are now just stubble. (Surah Hud: 100)
These stories of past nations are also a way to prove to unbelievers that the Qur'an is the Word of Allah. The Prophet (saas) could not have known a great deal of these details of history, since he had not been taught by any scholars, was not able to read or write and had not travelled extensively. Therefore, this proved that he could not have written the Qur'an. Many of the accounts of the past nations have recently been corroborated by historians and archaeologists. 6
There is instruction in their stories for people of intelligence. This is not a narration which has been invented but confirmation of all that came before, a clarification of everything, and a guidance and a mercy for people who have iman. (Surah Yusuf: 111)
Commands and prohibitions have been outlined in the Qur'an for us to achieve the best in the Hereafter. In order to motivate us to do more good, Allah describes in detail what we can expect in the Hereafter according to the purity of our tawhid and the deeds that we have performed in this life. The Garden is described in great detail, in order to help us strive to achieve it, if Allah wills. Similarly an equally graphic picture of Hellfire is presented in order to deter us from disbelief, ascription of partners to Allah whether openly or inadvertently, doing bad deeds and thus earning the displeasure of Allah.
It is certainly a reminder to you and to your people, and you will be questioned. (Surat az-Zukhruf: 44)
Allah tells us that He has given us the capacity to judge between right and wrong (furqan) and it is with this capacity that He invites us to reflect upon His creation.
And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours; verily in that are signs for those who know. (Surat ar-Rum: 22)
In several verses of the Qur'an, there are references to scientific matters that have recently been advanced by researchers, sometimes working with the aid of advanced technology or abstruse mathematics. At the time when the Qur'an was revealed, it was impossible to discover these matters scientifically, which once more is a serious indication to those who disbelieve that the Qur'an is Allah's word to humanity.
When the Qur'an was revealed in the seventh century CE, the Arabs had innumerable myths about the world. They did not have the technology to investigate the universe and the world of nature, but believed in myths and legends passed down from generation to generation. For example, they believed that the sky was held up by mountains; that the earth was flat and high mountains at the two ends of the earth acted as columns supporting the vault of the heavens. Myths such as these were eradicated with the revelation of the Qur'an:
Allah is He Who raised up the heavens without any support… (Surat ar-Ra'd: 2)
About this and many other matters, the Qur'an imparted important knowledge about things that were unknown to most people at that time. When the Qur'an was sent down, human beings knew very little about astronomy, physics and biology; it contained important knowledge about many things such as the creation of the universe and human beings, the components of the atmosphere and the balance in nature. Indeed there are facts in the Qur'an which we still do not understand or appreciate because we do not have the capability as yet to grasp them.
Much detailed knowledge about this world and the world to come is explained rationally in the Qur'an. This is the uniqueness of the Qur'an. Although the Qur'an contains much material for those with the requisite intellect, knowledge and scholarship, it does not take high intellect, broad culture or ability for the average person to understand the Qur'an; it is only necessary to have sincerity. The Qur'an has been sent to all humanity, but it is only the way to the Right Path for those who fear Allah and believe in the Last Day:
Those are the Signs of the Wise Book – guidance and mercy for the good-doers. (Surah Luqman: 2-3)
Mankind! Admonition has come to you from your Lord and also healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers. (Surah Yunus: 57)
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi said that the Qur'an is a guide to the truth for devoted slaves of Allah:
The All-Wise Qur'an is the leader to the aware and the conscious, the guide of jinn and men [and women], the teacher of those attaining to perfection, and instructor of those seeking reality. 7
The Qur'an says that the words of Allah are whole and complete and a person can only reach the truth if he takes the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saas) as his guides.
…We have not omitted anything from the Book... (Surat al-An'am: 38)
Those We have given the Book know it has been sent down from your Lord with truth, so on no account be among the doubters. The Words of your Lord are perfect in truthfulness and justice. No one can change His Words. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (Surat al-An'am: 114-115)
The Protection of the Qur'an
One of the most important aspects of the Qur'an is that it has come down to us without change from the time it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (saas):
It is We Who have sent down the Reminder and We Who will preserve it. (Surat al-Hijr: 9)
No one can change His words… (Surat al-Kahf: 27)
The Qur'an is not the first revelation from Allah to mankind, as is explained in the Qur'an itself:
He has sent down the Book to you with truth, confirming what was there before it. And he sent down the Torah and the Injil, previously, as guidance for mankind… (Surah Al 'Imran: 2-3)
However, the miracle of the Qur'an is that it is the last revelation of Allah, and it is recited to this day as it was recited 1400 years ago. It will remain unchanged for all time. The previous revealed scriptures were altered from their original states. Over the years, people have made additions, changes or completely excised various portions.
But when a revelation came to the Prophet, Allah miraculously enabled him to memorise it. Immediately afterwards, the Prophet (saas)had the Qur'an written by certain men among the Companions called the 'recorders of revelation'. Thus, the Qur'an was preserved in its written form. During the caliphate of Abu Bakr the Qur'an was compiled in one volume and it was during the caliphate of 'Uthman that multiple copies were made and sent to the major cities of Islam.
It is because of this Divine protection that the Qur'an is such a powerful book, with the permission of and by the will of Allah:
…And indeed it is a Book of exalted power. No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One full of wisdom, worthy of all praise. (Surah Fussilat: 41-42)
If We had sent down this Qur'an onto a mountain, you would have seen it humbled, crushed to pieces out of fear of Allah. We make such examples for people so that hopefully they will reflect. (Surat al-Hashr: 21)
There are numerous benefits to be gained by reciting it and even more by understanding it, both in this world and in the Hereafter.
A light has come to you from Allah and a clear book. By it Allah guides those who follow what pleases Him to the ways of peace. He will bring them from the darkness into the light by His permission and guide them to a straight path. (Surat al-Ma'idah: 15-16)
This is clear insight for mankind and guidance and mercy for people with certainty. (Surah al-Jathiyah: 20)
On the authority of 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, it is narrated that the Prophet (saas) said: 'The Qur'an is an intercessor, which has been made to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to Hellfire.' (At-Tabarani)
Recitation of the Qur'an brings tranquillity to the heart and peace to the soul. It is a guidance and mercy from Allah to all believers.
Only in the remembrance of Allah can the heart find peace. (Surah Ra'd: 28)
When the Qur'an is recited listen to it and be quiet so that hopefully you will gain mercy. (Surah al-'Araf: 204)

   Quran - Recitation :
Quran means recitation and comes from Qira'. God (Allah) will put His words in the mouth of this prophet. Allah the Almighty sent the angel Gabriel to teach Muhammad (bpuh) the exact words that he should repeat to the people. The words are therefore not his own; they did not come from his own thoughts, but were put into his mouth by the angel. To clarify, if a teacher were to teach a student a language, and if she asked him to read or repeat after her what she utters, . then would she not be putting these unheard words of a foreign tongue which she utters into her students' mouth?

In an identical manner, the words of the Qur' an were revealed.

History tells us that Muhammad (bpuh) was forty years of age. He was in a cave some three miles north of the city of Makkah. It was the 27th night of the Islamic month of Ramadan. In the cave the Archangel Gabriel commands him in his mother tongue: 'IQRA' which means READ, or PROCLAIM, or RECITE!

Muhammad is terrified, and in his bewilderment he replies that he is illiterate. The angel commands him a second time with the same result. For the third time the angel utters the same command. Now Muhammad grasps that what is required of him is to repeat and to recite, and he repeats the words as they are put into his mouth:

Recite in the name of the Lord who created; He created man from a [mere] clot of congealed blood. Recite, and your Lord is most generous. He taught with the use of the pen. He taught the human that which he did not know. (Qur'an 96: 1-5)
As soon as the awesome angel departed, Muhammad rushed back home, shaking in fear and sweating all over. He asked his beloved wife Khadijah to cover him up. He lay down, and she remained by him, calming him down and comforting him. When he had regained his composure, he explained to her what he had seen and heard. She assured him that Allah would not allow any terrible thing to happen to him. During the next twenty-three years of his prophetic life, words were 'put into his mouth' in the same way, and he uttered them. These words (verses) made an indelible impression on his heart and mind, and as the volumes of the sacred scripture (the Noble Qur'an) grew, they were recorded on palm leaves, on skins and on the shoulder-blades of animals, and in the hearts of thousands of his devoted disciples.

The words (revelation) were actually put into his mouth exactly as foretold in the prophecy under discussion: "and I will put my words in his mouth". (Deut. 18: 18) In a similar quote from John 16:13, Jesus (peace be upon him) says: "When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his authority, but whatever he hears he will speak." Also, Jesus (peace be upon him) foretold that the "Paraclete" to come after him was one who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak."

As a scholar of comparative religion has said:
Neither the content of the revelation, nor its form, were of Muhammad's devising. Both were given by the angel, and Muhammad's task was only to repeat what he heard.
Quran is recitation from Jibreel to Muhammad (PBUH) and he only repeated Allah's words and its just spread and there is no editorial process. Even I have memorised a lot of Quran Alhamdulillah. If anyone in the entire world makes a mistake I and thousands of Hafiz can correct it right there and then. if you throw wipe out all bibles Quran gospels torahs vedas etc..... from the face of planet earth... only Quran is the miracle of miracles which will be written down in few hours bcz its memorised. even if only one memorisor of Quran survives in the earth Quran will be written again as is recited always. ‘’We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). (Al-Hijr –Stone land-:9)

Quran addresses the previous prophets by name to refer to their old stories. Moses is mentioned 40 times and Jesus son of Mary pbuh is mentioned 25 times to refer the current muslims to their old stories. Most of the times Quran spoke directly to Muhammad pbuh saying Qul/say I.e convey (direct order) and in these cases mentioning by name to address a person is not required again and again. This is also a MIRACLE OF QURAN.  If Muhammad (PBUH) were mentioned more than Moses times were mentioned in the Quran then kaafir would have said its the his own kalam that is why he is mentioning his own name more than others. This argument of their was buried by ALLAH ALLMIGHTY because this kalam (Ayat of Quran) is from ALLAH alone himself. Muhammad (PBUH) is just a messenger of ALLAH who conveyed ALLAH's message. This is one of the great miracle of literary accuracy of the Quran. ALLAHUAKBAR

The Miracle of the Prophet Muhammad (saas)'s Noble Character
The Prophet Muhammad (saas) was a blessed man and greatly honoured in the sight of Allah. Allah created him to be obedient and made him great in the world; he had the kind of character that made him the most trustworthy of all human beings and he was an example to others in his honesty. He was a noble Messenger of Allah (saas) whose taqwa, excellent character and disposition were exemplary. With his compassion, courtesy, subtle understanding, trust in Allah and patient determination, he is a spiritual guide for all humanity, and an example to us all.
Ibrahim ibn Muhammad (saas), a grandson of Ali, had this to say about the Prophet:
Whenever Ali described the noble features of the Messenger of Allah (saas) , he used to say: 'He was the most generous and the most truthful. He was the most kind-hearted. Any person who saw him suddenly would become awed. Anyone who came in close contact with him, and knew his excellent character loved him. The one who described him said: “I have not seen anyone like him before him or after him.”' (At-Tirmidhi)
In the community where he lived, the Prophet (saas)was well known as al-Amin (the Trustworthy One); everyone agreed that he was honest and reliable. The Prophet's face shed a noble light that convinced everyone who saw it of his honesty. Anyone who listened to the voice of his conscience while speaking with him or joining in a conversation with him understood that he was special; they saw many proofs that he was a prophet. He was intelligent and insightful and, because of the excellence of his character, even unbelievers referred to him to solve misunderstandings that arose among them.
Ibn Sa'd narrated the following account that he received from Ibn 'Asakir concerning the virtue and goodness that the Companions continually witnessed in the Prophet:
The Prophet of Allah grew as the best among people in terms of honesty, the most beautiful in character, the most perfect in social relations, the most generous in neighbourliness, the most forward in gentleness and security, the truest spoken, and he who attached greatest importance to courtesy and good manners. He got on well with all. For that reason they called him al-Amin – the truest and most trustworthy. 8
Ibn Sa'd related the following from Ibn Hisham:
In the time of ignorance before Islam everyone applied to the Prophet of Allah to resolve disputes. 9
Ya'qub ibn Sufyan and al-Bayhaqi received the following from Ibn Shihab:
When Quraysh rebuilt the Ka'bah they fell to arguing over the laying of the Black Stone. Each tribe wished to lay it. Then they said: 'Whoever comes from that road, let us appoint him to judge between us.' The first to approach was the Prophet Muhammad (saas), who was then still a young man. (He was, according to reliable sources, thirty-five.) They appointed him arbiter. He said, 'Bring a ground cloth.' A ground cloth was brought. 'Now put the Stone on it together,' he said. When the Stone was placed on the cloth he said, 'Let the eldest of each tribe come and hold one end of the cloth.' They carried the Stone to its place in that manner. He then went up and installed the Stone he had taken from them. As he grew he attracted the love and respect of all. Because of the fame his honesty won him he was known as al-Amin, the most trustworthy. This was before the revelation had been made to him.10
However, after the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet, the attitude of the unbelievers changed. They tried their utmost to prevent the spread of Islam and, despite the fact that they saw the Prophet (saas)was good both in his personal life and character, they conspired to do him personal harm. Allah tells us in the Qur'an of this:
They are surprised that a Warner should come to them from among themselves. The kuffar say, 'This is a lying magician.' (Surah Sâd: 4)
Nonetheless, those who slandered a good and blessed man chosen by Allah were personal witnesses to his merit. With their own eyes they saw Muhammad (saas)'s faithfulness to his promises, his loyalty, justice, honesty, truthfulness, kindness to widows, orphans and those in need, and his generosity towards and interest in others. The excellence of his character and behaviour always caught the attention of people and he was most people's trusted, beloved and respected friend.
According to Islamic sources, there was a man by the name of Nadr ibn al-Harith who slandered the Prophet. Then, one day he met with the leaders of Quraysh and told them the following about Allah's blessed Messenger (saas):
Quraysh, I swear that today you have encountered something that has never befallen you before. From early childhood Muhammad (saas) was your most beloved, the greatest speaker of truth and the one who achieved the greatest respect. When he was older and brought Allah's Book you said he was a magician. I swear that he is not a magician. We have seen many magicians. We have seen how they breathe on knots. You then called him a seer. I swear that neither is he a seer. How many seers have we seen and witnessed their speech? You called him a poet. I swear that he is not a poet. How many poems have we learned, and seen their metre? You called him mad. I swear that he is not mad. Are there any signs of fainting, nonsense or fits in him? Quraysh, think well and decide… 11
The great Islamic scholar, Imam al-Ghazali, gives an account of the Prophet's excellent character. He collected his information from important scholars of hadith such as At-Tirmidhi, At-Tabarani, Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah:
The Prophet (saas) was the most patient of men, the bravest, the best judge, and one who pardoned most. He was the most charitable of men. He did not store up the provision of his family members that Allah was pleased to give him for more than a year. What remained in excess, he used to give in sadaqah. He used to give away in sadaqah to him who begged anything of him, even out of his stored up provision.
He used to speak the truth even though it was sometimes a cause of trouble to himself and his companions.
He used to accept invitations to weddings, visit the sick and the diseased and attend funerals. He was the most modest without pride and his tongue was most eloquent without lengthiness of speech. His constitution was the most beautiful.
He used even to go to distant places to visit the sick, ... sit with the poor and destitute, eat with them, honour those possessing nobility, advise them to do good deeds and show kindness to relatives. He did not treat anyone harshly and accepted excuses offered to him.
He joked but spoke the truth.
He held innocent sport and play as lawful, played with his wives and held races with them. He did not belittle the poor for their poverty nor show respect to the wealthy for their riches. He used to call people to Allah. 12
It was because of the noble character of the Prophet, his extraordinary determination in the face of adversity and his generous nature that Allah was pleased with him and described his virtues in the Qur'an:
You will have a wage which never fails. Indeed you are truly vast in character. (Surat al-Qalam: 3-4)
…this is the word of a noble Messenger. (Surat al-Haqqa: 40)
It was the combination of Allah's help, His divine revelation and the strength of character of the Prophet (saas) that a whole society came out of the darkness and into the light over a short period of twenty-three years. People who had mistreated their women and children to the point of burying baby daughters alive, who had treated poor people and slaves cruelly, now became compassionate and just in the light of Islam. People who worshipped idols of stone and held numerous myths and superstitions, now believed in the Oneness of Allah.
In order to bring about this radical and lasting change, the Prophet (saas) endured much suffering. He was offered great material rewards by the unbelievers if he would stop preaching the word of Allah, but the Prophet (saas) rejected all such proposals. He was a principled man, only desiring Allah's approval and the good of Islam and the Muslims. He hoped for Allah's help even in the most difficult of circumstances and he believed that He would always allow him and the believers to prevail. Allah rewarded him and the believers by supporting them and protecting them from those who had no faith.

The Miracle of the Prophet (saas) Being Untaught / Unlettered (Ummi)
When the Prophet (saas) received the Qur'an, he could neither read nor write; in other words, he was untaught. This was one of the most important indications that he was a prophet.
Although they knew that the Prophet (saas) was untaught, the unbelievers did not accept that the Qur'an was revealed to him, and accused him of writing it himself. Yet, those without faith had known the Prophet (saas) before his prophethood and were well aware that he did not possess the knowledge to do this. Allah says in the Qur'an:
Accordingly We have revealed to you a Ruh by Our command. You had no idea of what the Book was, nor faith. Nonetheless We have made it a Light by which We guide those of Our slaves We will. Truly you are guiding to a Straight Path. (Surat ash-Shura: 52)
Allah has sent down the Book and Wisdom to you and taught you what you did not know before. Allah's favour to you is indeed immense. (Surat an-Nisa': 113)
The Prophet (saas) conveyed the Qur'an to humanity as a 'revelation from Allah'; he never claimed to be a writer or poet and reminded people that they had known him for years before he became a prophet:
Say: 'Had Allah so wished, I would not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I lived among you for many years before it came. Will you not use your intellect?' (Surah Yunus: 16)
Despite the fact that he was untaught, the Prophet (saas) delivered his message very effectively. Allah gave him knowledge by revelation of what was contained in the Tawrah and Injil. When Allah revealed the Qur'an, He gave him knowledge of other revealed books and societies that had passed away. This would have been impossible without Allah's revelation to the Prophet. Al-Ghazali expands on the qualities of the Prophet:
The character and conduct of the Prophet, his actions, his habits, management of affairs, his treatment of the different classes of people, his showing the straight path to them, his wonderful answers to different difficult and subtle questions, his untiring efforts for the good of people, his good guidance regarding the open laws of Shari'ah; all these matters lead one to the conclusion that these were beyond the power of a man without the help of an unseen hand. It is impossible on the part of a hypocrite or a liar. The people testified on seeing his constitution and qualifications that he was a great truthful man sent by Allah.
Allah gave him these qualities though he was untaught and had no education and lived always among illiterate Arabs. Being untaught, an orphan and weak, how did he acquire such good character and conduct, such knowledge about Allah without worldly or other-worldly education? His true and correct knowledge about the earlier prophets, peace be upon them, shows that he is a true Messenger of Allah (saas) , because he knew these truths by revelations. How could he know what was beyond man unless he received revelation? 13
All those who knew him, including the unbelievers, were aware that the Prophet (saas) had never sat with learned people to receive an education; and the wisdom in his message could only be a miracle granted by Allah to His messenger. Allah says in the Qur'an:
You never recited any Book before it nor did you write one down with your right hand. If you had, the purveyors of falsehood would have voiced their doubts. (Surat al-'Ankabut: 48)
The Encyclopaedia of Seerah tells how the great knowledge that Allah gave to Muhammad (saas) is proof that he was His messenger:
The Prophet Muhammad (saas) was untaught; he could not read or write. Throughout his life the members of the family he grew up in, those close to him and the people of Makkah never saw him touch a book nor hold a pen. Therefore, the Qur'an, the sea of knowledge revealed to him, is a unique miracle. That is because the text contains treasures of information such as the main subject matter of all previous divine scriptures, stories of previous prophets, religions and their beliefs, ancient history, civilisation, culture and economics, politics and moral values. … The way that, despite being untaught himself, he appeared before the unbelievers with a Book is in any case the greatest proof of his prophethood. 14

Jewish Scholars Recognise the Prophet (saas)
Jews and Christians, described in the Qur'an as the 'People of the Book', have certain corruptions in their beliefs and practices; but despite this, they follow a religion that was originally sent down by Allah. The Tawrah and Injil were revealed books of Allah, although they were changed over time. Allah has said that the Qur'an was sent down as the final book to humanity, confirming what was in the previous revealed books. In the following ayat, Allah addresses the Children of Isra'il:
Have iman in what I have sent down, confirming what is with you. Do not be the first to reject it and do not sell My Signs for a paltry price. Have taqwa of Me alone. (Surat al-Baqarah: 41)
The coming of an untaught prophet was foretold in the Tawrah and Injil and so the scholars of these books would have known about the Prophet Muhammad (saas) and also of the revelation of the Qur'an as the final Word of Allah:
It is certainly in the scriptures of the previous peoples. Is it not indeed a Sign for them that the scholars of the tribe of Israel have knowledge of it? (Surat ash-Shu'ara': 196-197)
In his work al-Asas fi't-Tafsir, the interpretive scholar, Imam Sa'id Hawa, explains these verses of the Qur'an as follows:
It is certain that the Qur'an existed in earlier books. In other words it is referred to in earlier scriptures, or the senses it contains were transmitted by the prophets of other communities and were present in their books in the manner revealed by Allah, as can be seen in Divine texts.
…Moderate and honest Jewish scholars know that the Tawrah, Psalms and Injil contain the contents of the Qur'an, and that every element in it is the truth from Allah and that this is the last book and the last prophet of whom the earlier scriptures speak.15
When the Prophet (saas) came, many of the Jewish and Christian scholars immediately recognised that he was the untaught prophet that had been foretold in their scriptures. The Prophet, through the revelation of the Qur'an knew of the contents of the Tawrah and Injil and about the history of the Bani Isra'il, as typified by the following verse:
Tribe of Israel! Remember the blessing I conferred on you. Honour My contract and I will honour your contract. Have dread of Me alone. Have iman in what I have sent down, confirming what is with you. Do not be the first to reject it and do not sell My Signs for a paltry price. Have taqwa of Me alone. Do not mix up truth with falsehood and knowingly hide the truth. (Surat al-Baqarah: 40-42)
When Muhammad (saas) read them these verses, the wise men of the Israelites recognised him as the Messenger whose coming they were awaiting. The People of the Book saw that he was the Messenger of Allah (saas) and that he spoke the truth in every respect. In his way of life and character, he was that blessed Messenger whose coming was foretold in the Tawrah and Injil. The Qur'an says:
Those who follow the Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, whom they find written down with them in the Torah and the Gospel, commanding them to do right and forbidding them to do wrong, making good things halal for them and bad things haram for them, relieving them of their heavy loads and the chains which were around them. Those who have iman in him and honour him and help him, and follow the Light that has been sent down with him, they are the ones who are successful. (Surat al-A'raf: 157)
The Islamic scholar, Omer Nasuhi Bilmen, explains this verse in his commentary of the Qur'an, as follows:
This verse reveals that those possessed of the most distinguished qualities, the best deeds and excellences in this world and the Hereafter, are the followers of the Khatam al-Anbiya (Last Prophet): those who follow the Prophet Muhammad (saas) – to whom the Divine Book, in which the knowledge of the past and future are contained, was revealed, though he read nothing from anyone and wrote nothing – achieve the honour of being of his community. He is referred to by name or by his characteristics – in the Tawrah and the Injil. There can be no doubt that he is present in name and in his characteristics in these books. If such were not written in those books would the Prophet Muhammad (saas) claim to be [referred to] and thus give grounds for his rejection? He is such a great Prophet that he commands and advises those whom he calls to faith, all humanity, to respect and honour the commands of Allah, to acquire proper belief and morality, and to show affection to creatures (and he forbids the wrong). 16
The fact that the coming of the Prophet (saas) and his qualities were foretold to the People of the Book is another of the miracles associated with him. Those of the People of the Book, who, with faith and common sense, used their intellects to consider the things they saw, have confirmed this evident truth.

Some Miracles in the Life of the Prophet Muhammad (saas)
There were a number of miracles granted to the Prophet (saas) throughout his life. As mentioned previously, the revelation of the Qur'an and the Qur'an itself are the greatest of these miracles. The excellent character of the Prophet (saas), his actions and even his hadith are all miracles. There are a number of other miracles that took place during the life of the Prophet (saas) that have been related in the Qur'an and the seerah (the biography of the Prophet). Below is a selection of just some of these miraculous events.
Prophet Muhammad (saas)'s Night Journey and Ascent to Heaven (al-Isra wa'l-Mi'raj)
One of the most remarkable miracles that occurred in the life of the Prophet (saas) was al-Isra wa'l-Mi'raj (The Night Journey and Ascent), which took place about 17 months before the Hijrah. The Night Journey (Isra') is described in the first verse of Surat al-Isra':
Glory be to Him Who took His slave on a journey by night from the Masjid al-Haram to the Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, in order to show him some of Our Signs. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. (Surat al-Isra': 1)
According to hadith, the Prophet (saas) was sleeping next to the Ka'bah when Jibril appeared to him, mounted him on a white creature in-between a mule and a donkey called the Buraq and took him from the Masjid al-Haram to the Masjid al-Aqsa. The Masjid al-Haram is the great mosque in Makkah and the Masjid al-Aqsa is the mosque in Jerusalem (the word aqsa means farthest); the distance between these two places is about 1235 kilometres.
It was from the Masjid al-Aqsa that the Prophet (saas) embarked on the second stage of his journey – the ascent through the heavens (Mi'raj) to the Sidrat al-Muntaha (Lote-tree of the Final Limit) and, according to hadith, then beyond that into the presence of Allah, exalted is He, and the meeting with Him. Ibn Kathir says that at least twenty-five of the Companions transmitted the story of the Night Journey from the Prophet (saas) but that this number could have been as many as forty-five. Those accepted as most reliable are the accounts of Anas ibn Malik, Abu Hurayrah, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Malik ibn Sa'sa', Abu Dharr al-Ghifari, Abdullah ibn 'Abbas, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and Umm Hani.
There is much detailed information in the hadith about what the Prophet (saas) saw during his Mi'raj. In a hadith of Muslim narrated by Anas ibn Malik, we learn of the events that transpired during this miraculous journey. As the Prophet (saas) ascended through the heavens with Jibril, he in turn met the Prophets Adam (sa), ‘Isa (sa), Yahya (sa), Yusuf (sa), Idris (sa), Harun (sa), Musa (sa) and Ibrahim (sa). Then he reached the Sidrat al-Muntaha and received a revelation (Surat al-Baqarah: 285). From there the Prophet (saas) was taken into the presence of Allah and it was here that he received the command that Muslims should perform salah.
The Qur'an also describes the Prophet's ascent to Sidrat al-Muntaha:
He saw him again another time by the Lote-tree of the Final Limit, beside which is the Garden of Refuge, when that which covered the Lote-tree covered it. His eye did not waver nor did he look away. He saw some of the Greatest Signs of his Lord. (Surat an-Najm: 13-18)
On his return, the Prophet (saas) told Quraysh of the events that had taken place the previous night. The unbelievers, and even some of the weaker Muslims, doubted the miracle of the Mi'raj and approached Abu Bakr with baseless accusations about the Prophet. When the unbelievers asked Abu Bakr if he believed the story of the Night Journey and if he would continue to believe in the Prophet, he replied, "If he said it, then I believe him, yes." For his loyalty in this regard, the Prophet (saas) gave Abu Bakr the title as-Siddiq (Completely Faithful).
The unbelievers questioned the Prophet (saas) in order to find out if he was telling the truth. He (saas) was able to answer their questions fully and there are accounts of this in the hadith:
They said: 'Will you describe the Masjid al-Aqsa to us?' Some of them had been there and seen it.
The Prophet (saas) related: 'I began describing the Mosque. In describing some places I fell into doubt. At this the Mosque was brought and placed in front of the house of 'Iqal or 'Aqil. I looked at it and began describing it.'
After the Prophet's address they said: 'As for the description, by Allah, he was correct!' (Imam Ahmad, Musnad)
'I remember being in al-Hijr, and Quraysh were asking me about my Night Journey. They asked me things about Bayt al-Maqdis that I was not sure of... Then Allah raised Bayt al-Maqdis up for me to see, and there was nothing they asked me about but I told them about it.' 17
Nevertheless, the unbelievers still refused to believe in the miracle of the ascent and wanted proof. With Allah's help, the Prophet (saas) was able to give them the proof that they wanted and they were unable to deny this:
They said to the Prophet,'What is your proof?' The Prophet (saas) replied: 'I encountered a caravan belonging to Quraysh. It was at such-and-such a place. The caravan was frightened by us, and changed course. There was a black and a white sack on one camel in the caravan, which [camel] cried out and then collapsed.' When the caravan returned they asked what had happened, and they described the events just as the Prophet (saas) had. 18
The Night Journey and Ascent (Isra' wal Mi'raj) was a great miracle given to the Prophet, which lent much strength to his message. The event itself was a great miracle as was the fact that Allah helped His messenger to answer the doubts of the unbelievers, thus establishing the Prophet (saas) as a truthful individual.

Allah Split the Moon in Two for the Prophet (saas)
  Read details here http://neurotherapy-of-christian-brain.blogspot.ae/2012/12/moon-splitting-miracle-of-prophet.html

Another extraordinary miracle granted to the Prophet (saas) was the splitting of the moon in two as mentioned in the Qur'an:
The Hour has drawn near and the moon has split. (Surat al-Qamar: 1)
The phrase 'and the moon has split' (wa'nshaqqa al-qamar) is a verbal clause consisting of the words 'split' and 'moon'. The verb 'split' comes from the basic Arabic root meaning 'to divide' in the sense of 'the appearance of a plant after the earth has been ploughed'. In this sense, 'splitting' means 'to be divided', 'to be cut into pieces', 'to be separated'.
The story of the splitting of the moon is told in the works of the great scholars of hadith such as Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, at-Tirmidhi, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Abu Dawud, Al-Hakim, Al-Bayhaqi, and Abu Nu'aym.19 A selection of these hadith is given below:
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (said): 'We were along with Allah's Messenger (saas) at Mina, when the moon was split in two. One part was behind the mountain and the other one was on this side of the mountain. Allah's Messenger (saas) said to us: “Bear witness to this."' (Muslim)
‘Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported that the moon was split in two parts during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (saas). 'The mountain covered one of its parts and one part of it was above the mountain and Allah's Messenger (saas) said: “Bear witness to this.”' (Muslim)
During the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (saas) the moon was split in two; one part remained over the mountain, and the other part went beyond the mountain. On that, Allah's Messenger (saas) said, 'Witness this miracle.' (Al-Bukhari)
It was, in fact, the people of Makkah who had asked the Prophet (saas) for a clear sign from Allah, and the Prophet (saas) had, by the permission of Allah, shown them the splitting of the moon:
The people of Makkah asked Allah's Messenger to show them signs (miracles) and he showed them the splitting of the moon twice. (Muslim)
Despite the clear and undeniable nature of this miracle, the idolaters of Quraysh still denied and refused to believe. However, because they could not challenge what they had seen, they chose instead to discredit it by calling it witchcraft or magic:
If they see a Sign they turn away, saying 'There is no end to this witchcraft!' They have denied the truth and followed their whims and desires, but everything has its time. (Surat al-Qamar: 2-3)
'Our eyesight is befuddled! Or rather we have been put under a spell!' (Surat al-Hijr: 15)
Bediuzzaman Said Nursi relates that this miracle was witnessed by many of the Companions and he tells us how powerless the idolaters were in the face of this event:
Among his greatest miracles, a certain mutawatir one [transmitted by so many people in each generation as to be impossible of doubt] is the splitting of the moon. This miracle was related through various channels, to the degree of tawatur, and by the foremost among the Companions such as Ibn Mas'ud, Ibn 'Abbas, Ibn 'Umar, 'Ali, Anas and Hudhayfah. Moreover, the Qur'an also announced this supreme miracle to the whole world:
The Hour has drawn near and the moon has split. (Surat al-Qamar: 1)
Even the stubborn unbelievers of the time could not deny this verse; all that they said was, 'It is magic.' Thus, even the unbelievers were certain of the splitting of the moon. 20
Nursi continues by explaining the reason for the subtle nature of this miracle:
Miracles take place in order to prove the claim of prophethood and to convince deniers, but not to force them to believe. This miracle was needed to convince those who had already heard of the prophethood of Muhammad (saas). To let it be seen from other parts of the world, or to demonstrate it in an undeniably obvious way, therefore, would have been contrary both to the wisdom of the All-Wise Creator and to the purpose of man's function in the universe, which is to open the way for the mind without disabling the free will. If the All-Wise Creator had, in accordance with the whims of materialist philosophers, left the moon in the same condition for a few hours to show it to the entire world, and if this fact had thereby been recorded by all historians, it would have been treated among other astronomical incidents, without being restricted to the messengership of Muhammad (saas) and without being considered a proof of his prophethood. Or, it would have been such an obvious miracle that it would have forced minds to believe and deprived them of free will. As a consequence, coal and diamonds (or Abu Jahl and Abu Bakr) would have been the same and the purpose of man's function in the universe would have been lost... 21

Trees Responded to the Prophet (saas)
There are a number of hadith that report how trees obeyed the Prophet (saas) and responded to the questions he put to them. For example, a mimosa tree testified to the Oneness of Allah and to the Prophethood of Muhammad (saas) at the request of the Prophet (saas) himself:
Ibn 'Umar said, 'We were with the Messenger of Allah (saas) on a journey and a Bedouin came up to him and he asked, “Bedouin, where are you going?” He replied, “To my family.” He said, “Do you want something good?” The man asked, “What is it?” The Prophet (saas) said, “That you testify that there is no god but Allah alone without partner and that Muhammed is His slave and messenger.” The Bedouin asked, “Who will testify to what you say?” “This mimosa tree.” It advanced from the edge of the river valley, furrowing the earth until it stood before him and he asked it to testify three times and it did so and then returned to its place.' (Ad-Darimi, al-Bayhaqi and al-Bazzar) 22
Even the inanimate rocks would greet the Prophet (saas) as he walked past and testify to his position as the Messenger of Allah (saas) :
Ali, and others, narrated: 'I was strolling with the Prophet (saas) once on the outskirts of Makkah, I noticed that not a tree or a rock he passed did let him pass without murmuring: Peace be upon you, Messenger of Allah (saas) .' (At-Tirmidhi)
By the permission of Allah, trees moved for the ease and convenience of the Prophet (saas). The following hadith is one of many in this regard:
Ibn Furak mentioned that the Prophet (saas) was travelling by night during the Ta'if military expedition and became sleepy. A lote-tree in his way split into two halves for him and he passed between the two halves. They remain with their trunks until this day and are well known. 23
There is a well-known story of the Prophet (saas) leaning against a particular palm-tree while delivering his khutbah. When theminbar was constructed for him and the palm tree was no longer used, it groaned and wept out of love for the Prophet:
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said: 'The mosque was constructed of the trunks of palm-trees with a roof laid on top of them. When the Prophet (saas) addressed the people, he would lean against one of the trunks. When the minbar was built for him, we heard that trunk make a sound like a camel.' (Al-Bukhari) 24

Abundance of Food and Water
Allah bestowed numerous blessings, abundance and fruitfulness on the Prophet (saas) throughout his life. There was barakah in everything that he touched or graced with his presence, by the will of Allah. There are reports in the hadith of abundance of food and water in the presence of the Prophet (saas) even when there seemed to be an apparent shortage.
On one occasion, there was not enough water for people to perform their wudu' and yet scores of people were able to do so by a miracle granted to the Prophet:
Anas ibn Malik said, 'I saw the Messenger of Allah (saas) at the time of the 'Asr prayer. People looked for water for wudu' and could not find any, so the Messenger of Allah (saas) was brought some wudu' water. He then placed his hand in the vessel and commanded the people to do wudu' from it.' He added, 'I saw the water flowing from his fingers, and everyone, down to the last man, did wudu' from it.' (Muslim and al-Bukhari) 25
Jabir ibn 'Abdullah reports in a sahih hadith that on another occasion when there was a shortage of wudu' water at al-Hudaybiyah, the Prophet (saas) dipped his fingers into the water vessel and some 15,000 people were able to perform their wudu' from it. 26
There are similar reports of water actually flowing from between the fingers of the Prophet (saas):
Ibn Abbas reported: 'On a journey, when the Messenger of Allah (saas) appeared in the morning there was no water left among the troops. Someone said, "Prophet of Allah, the army has no water!"
"Is there any at all, even just a little?"
"Yes!"
A bowl containing a little water was immediately brought. The Prophet (saas) placed his fingers in the mouth of the bowl and opened them up. Water was pouring from the right of his finger, like a fountain. He commanded Bilal to call the people: "[Come to] the blessed water!"' (Ibn Hanbal, al-Bayhaqi, Bazzar, at-Tabarani and Abu Nu'aym) 27
Ziyad ibn al-Harith as-Suda'i narrated: 'The Prophet was travelling. He stopped just before dawn. He then emerged and said to me: "Brother of [the tribe of] Suda, is there any water?"
"No, except for a very little which would not suffice you," I said.
"Put it in a bowl and bring it to me," he commanded.
I did what he said. He put his hand in the water. I saw that water poured from between his two fingers like springs. He then commanded, "Call those of my companions who need water!" I called to them. Everyone took as much water as he wanted. …
…We said: "Messenger of Allah (saas) ! We have a well. There is much water in winter, and we gather around it. But in summer the water withdraws and we disperse to other sources of water around us. We have become Muslims. Yet we are surrounded by enemies. Please, pray to our Lord that He make the water in our well more plentiful. Thus we will not have to disperse right and left, but can always be around our well."
At this, he asked them to bring seven stones. He rubbed these in his hands and made a prayer about them. Then he commanded: "Take these stones, and when you reach the well throw them into it one by one and mention the name of Allah!" We did what he told us. And we have not been able afterwards to see the bottom of it [meaning the well].' (Al-Harith ibn Usamah in his Musnad, al-Bayhaqi and Abu Nu'aym) 28
Another hadith relates that water gushed from a place that the Prophet (saas) had struck with his foot:
'Amr ibn Shu'ayb said that one time when he was riding behind the Prophet (saas) at Dhu'l-Majaz, Abu Talib said to him, 'I am thirsty and do not have any water with me.' The Prophet (saas) got down and struck the earth with his feet and water came forth. He said, 'Drink.' 29
Similarly, the Companions have also reported that there was never a shortage of food at meals attended by the Prophet (saas) and that everyone present was able to leave with his hunger satisfied:
In the hadith of Anas about the Messenger of Allah (saas) getting married, he says, 'My mother, Umm Sulaym, prepared “hays” and I put it in a pot and took it to the Messenger of Allah (saas) and he said, “Put it down and invite so-and-so and so-and-so for me and whomever you meet.” I invited them and did not omit anyone I met until they filled the Suffah (a veranda attached to the Prophet's mosque in Madinah where poor Muslims used to sleep) and the room. The Prophet (saas) put it in front of him and dipped three fingers into it. People began to eat and then leave. The vessel remained as it had been to start with. The people numbered seventy-one or seventy-two.' (Muslim and al-Bukhari) 30
On another occasion, Abu Ayyub had prepared enough food only for the Prophet (saas) and Abu Bakr. He reports that the Prophet (saas) told him, 'Invite thirty of the Ansar nobles.' He invited them and they ate and then left. Then he (saas) said, 'Invite sixty more,' and the same thing happened. Then he (saas) said, 'Invite seventy more,' and they ate their fill and still left some. None of them left without becoming a Muslim and giving homage. Abu Ayyub said that, in all, one hundred and eighty men ate from this food. (At-Tabarani and al-Bayhaqi) 31
Abu Hurayrah reported that on yet another occasion, the Prophet (saas) told him to invite the people of the Suffah on his behalf. He gathered them and a plate was put before them and they ate what they wished and then left. The food remained as it had been when it was laid out except that there were the marks of the finger in it. 32

These are just some examples of the physical miracles that Allah granted to the Prophet (saas). There was no aspect of the Prophet (saas)'s life that did not contain miracles. There were extraordinary yet undeniable singular events such as the Ascent into the Heavens and the splitting of the moon, as well as more regularly reported incidents such as the trees greeting the Prophet (saas). These miracles served to support the message of Allah; strengthen the resolve of the believers and invite unbelievers to come to faith. However, because Allah has also given human beings free will, not everyone who was a witness to these miracles chose to believe. The Prophet (saas) never claimed that he had the power to perform these miracles. They were granted to the Prophet (saas) by Allah. The Prophet (saas) was a blessed man and there was great barakah in his presence as we have seen with the abundance of food and water. There was also great barakah in his prayers for his people.

Prophetic Miracle of Muhammad {saw}: Desert Arabs Competing in Building Skyscrapers
by Ijaz Ahmad -------- Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ,

“The Hour will not be established-till the people of the desert (the camel shepherds) compete with one another in constructing high buildings.”
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the minor signs of the last day.

On being asked on the signs of the last day, the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentions: “you shall see the barefoot, naked, penniless shepherds competing in constructing high buildings.” This hadith describes people who become rich all of a sudden and then build not for need but only in competition.

The Gulf Arab States, enjoying the proceeds of record-high oil prices, are rushing to build the tallest tower in world, reports Kuwait Times.

As reported by MEED (Middle East Economic Digest), Saudi Arabia has been the latest among the Gulf States to join the race, with a plan to build a 1600m tower in the Red Sea City of Jeddah. The project, which is expected to surpass the super-tall skyscrapers in the neighboring Dubai and Kuwait, confirms that the competition is on, to build the world’s tallest tower in the Gulf region.

Among all other super-tall structures that are under construction around the globe, none exceeds 700m in height. MEED says that although the companies involved in the Saudi-based project are kept secretive, it is said that Britain’s Hyder Consulting and Arup are working in a joint-venture, and the cost of the project is expected to cost up to $10 billion. The tower, known as
“Mile-High Tower” will have the US Engineering giant Bechtel as construction manager, and Saudi-based Omrania as the project architect.

WEARING GOLD FORBIDDEN FOR MEN

Wearing Gold was forbidden by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was for the benefit of

mankind itself though there were no physicists and scientific research on this subject at the

time of Prophet Muhammad نبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ about 1400 years ago. Check the

below link for New scientific facts recently discovered about harmfulness of wearing gold

for Men.

Suraqah the Bounty Hunter
Perhaps the most skilful and vicious tracker/warrior in the history of pagan Mecca was Suraqah Ibn Ja'asham. He excelled in the amazing skill of tracking traces in the desert that the early Arabs perfected. By glancing at any footprints, Suraqah could tell what kind of animal they belonged to, if it was carrying people on its back, and how it carried them, and even how much they weighed. After Muhammad (pbuh) and his closest companion Abu Bakr fled Mecca minutes before representatives of every tribe gathered to assassinate him in his own bed, the Meccans dedicated a huge fortune of the most expensive camels to whoever would find Muhammad and his companion, alive or dead. Suraqah, with his exceptional skills and the promise of his awaiting prize, was inspired
to question some witnesses and to move as fast as he could till he was able to see the Prophet and his companion riding at an arrow's shoot distance.
Abu Bakr noticed Suraqah and told the Prophet Suraqah realized that Abu Bakr saw him and was amazed to find that the Prophet did not even turn around or appear worried at all. But what was even more amazing was the fact that Suraqah's expensive and powerful horse had tumbled and threw him to the ground, something which
had never happened before. Suraqah quickly gathered himself, rode his horse again, and pushed it to run as fast as it could towards Muhammad and his companion. Again, to Suraqah's amazement. Muhammad (pbuh) did not even turn his head to look at him once, as if Suraqah was a breath of fresh air that could never harm him.
Suraqah's horse then collapsed again, throwing Suraqah on the ground for a second time. It was then that the most astonishing thing Suraqah had ever seen happened. It was not that the horse had tumbled twice in minutes or that Muhammad had never bothered to look behind him, but that the front legs of his horse had sunk into the solid, desert ground, as if it was liquid mud! Suraqah was not the most talented tracker in Mecca because he could not see the fact that was practically poking him in the eye. immediately realized that Muhammad (pbuh) was truly a mighty Prophet of God aided by God's Power, which had suspended a law of nature before his own
eyes. Suraqah quickly yelled, pleading to Abu Bakr to ask the Prophet to supplicate to God to release his horse and vowed no harm to them whatsoever. The Prophet raised his hands and supplicated to God and the horse easily stood up again. Suraqah then approached the Prophet with one request: that the Prophet would write
something that would give Suraqah protection from the Muslims, if they happened to confront: him. The Prophet, well-known for his forgiveness and generosity, agreed to do so. Were all these supernatural events, in one day, enough for Suraqah the bounty hunter who thought he held seen it all? No.

The Prophet suddenly held up both of Suraqah's wrists, gazed into his eyes, and asked him: "How would you like, Suraqah, to wear the golden handcuffs of Cicero, the emperor of Persia'?"
Time passes, Suraqah accepts Islam, joins the Muslim army, the Persian empire is opened to the Muslims, and Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, the second Caliph (ruler) of' the Muslims calls Suraqah, puts the cloak of Cicero over his shoulders and Cicero's legendary golden handcuffs on his 'wrists.
It is as remarkable as having a wanted man in a harsh desert in, let's say, Zambia, offer his bounty hunter - after he surrendered ..... the sceptre of the King of England!
While escaping his own homeland and barely avoiding assassination, Muhammad (pbuh) offered the golden handcuffs of the Persian emperor to the bounty hunter who surrendered to him.

And Suraqah did get to wear them!

One Rock, Three Prophecies
In year 6, after the immigration of Muhammad (pbuh) to Medina from the persecution of the pagans in Mecca, the latter summoned an army the largest in Mecca's history - of 10,000 warriors. The tribe of Banu Quraizah, whom the Prophet had a peace treaty with, betrayed the Muslims and aligned with the Meccans, dosing the siege around Medina to achieve an ultimate goal with the pagans. Although Banu Quraizah was a. tribe of monotheistic Jews who worshipped the same God of Abraham and of Muhammad, their goal as with the pagans was to kill all Muslims till Muhammad had been annihilated. Shortly before, Salman the Persian, a close companion of the Prophet, suggested digging a wide trench all around Medina to protect them from the invasion of the pagans. The entire town, while suffering near starvation, relentlessly dug the trench. The Prophet, who was over 56 years old, refused not to completely participate with his followers" including with the harsh task of smashing and removing the big rocks that blocked the digging of the trench. They continued to dig deeper and wider till they came across a huge rock that no one could remove or break.

"A rock blocked the digging of the trench the Prophet ordered us to dig, our axes couldn't break so we complained to the Prophet. So he came, took the axe, and said: 'by the name of God' . He hit it once breaking a third of it, then he said 'God is greater, I was given the keys of Sham (present-day Syria, Jordan, Palestine and
Lebanon), by God I see red! Palaces now', then he hit it again breaking its other third, and said "God is greater, I was given keys of Persia-by God I see its white Madayen (capital of Persia) palace, then he said: ' by the name of God' then he hit it a third time cutting the rest of the rock, then said: "God is greater, I was given the keys of Yemen, By God I do see the doors of Sana's (major city in Yemen) from my place now' ."
Narrator: Al Baraa Ibn Al Azib, Reference: Fath Al Bary, No: 7/458, Degree: Good.

This prophecy was made during one of the most difficult moments in the history of Islam, which, to any objective observer at the time, appeared to likely be its last moments. The Meccans had never prepared a bigger coalition of an army; no town protected by larger numbers of men had ever survived smaller and less powerful attacks
[hall what was planned by the Meccans.
A sandstorm that the Meccans had never seen before blew so powerfully that it pulled their tents off the ground, put out their fires, and forced them to abandon their siege and retreat to Mecca.
Medina was saved and the Banu Ourayzah traitors were executed.
All three regions and cities were opened to Islam exactly as the Prophet prophesied.

Fate of the World's Two Greatest Kings

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet said:
"If Cicero perishes, there will be no Cicero after him, and if Cesar perishes, there win be no Cesar after him. I swear by whom my soul is in his hands, you will spend their treasures for the sake of God."
Narrator: Abu Hurayrah. Refer: Saheeh Al Bukhary, No.: 3618. Degree: Correct.

The remarkable fact about this prophecy is not that it was already and amazingly fulfilled, or that the spread of Islam was eventually the end of the rule of both the Roman and Persian empires. What is remarkable is the time during which the Prophet had made this prophecy. It was one of the earliest most difficult periods for the Muslims, when many in the Arab peninsula doubted that if you even added the Muslims to all their immediate and local enemies, you wouldn't be able to compare the sum with any army of the two world powers at the time; the Romans and the Persians. The number of Muslims grew exponentially and wherever they applied the social justice of Islamic Sharia, the non Muslims who were freed from oppression joined Islam and fought for it. Both kings eventually
perished, and Islam has ruled their lands to date. The justice and the rebalancing of the wealth in their societies which occurred after Islamic law was in effect; unprecedented to date.
How did Muhammad know about the two greatest unimaginable future victories in the world, at the worst time of
oppression that the Muslims lived under?
Only God knows and only God can reveal the future to his last Prophet.
******************************************************************************
Another miracle; there was continuous rivalry between the Roman and the Persian Empire. They were the superpowers of that time. Persian Empire included parts of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, maybe parts of Pakistan, and up north. Byzantanian Empire included Turkey, parts of Eastern Europe, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. In one critical battle between the two Empires, the Persians defeated the Romans. The people of Mecca were very happy to hear this, while the Muslims were sad. The reason is because the pagans felt more close to the Persians, because the Persians used to worship fire. So the mushrikeen felt a connection. While the Romans were Christians, who are obviously People of the Book, who are closer to the Muslims. Anyhow the pagans were going around in Mecca and saying the Muslims, “Just like the Persians defeated the Romans, we will defeat you.  Allah (swt) revealed a verse
Alif, Lam, Meem (1) The Byzantines have been defeated (2) In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome (3) Within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice (4) In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful (5)
So here Allah (swt) has promised that the Romans will win within 10 years. Abu Bakr (ra) learned these verses and went to Abu Jahl. He said, “I want to bet with you, that the Romans will win.” Abu Jahl said, “Give me a time frame.” Abu Bakr said, “less than ten years.” They had a bet on 100 camels. Abu Bakr (ra) obviously was willing to bet on anything, since he believed in the Quran.  Allah (swt) says Within three to nine years, To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice (4) In the victory of Allah…  What do you understand by this verse? The Romans will win, and the Muslims will be happy because Allah gave them victory. Let’s see… Eight years passed and the Romans won, and the news reached the Muslims, they didn’t really care much about it. How come? Allah says that day Muslim will rejoice, and now they received the news but the news is of secondary concern. SubhanAllah this is because the day they received the news was the day of Battle of Badr. And the victory at the battle of Badr, overshadowed everything else. That was a day of true happiness.
The pagans used to say that they will defeat the Muslims like the Persians defeated the Romans, but the complete opposite happened. Romans won and the same day, the Muslims won J. But the miracle doesn’t end here,  the words of the ayah were that the Byzantines have been defeated in ‘Adnal Urdh’. Adna has two meaning in Arabic, one meaning is nearest and the other is lowest. The meaning ‘nearest’ was adopted by early  scholars, because the nearest land to the Arabs was Ash-Shaam, but now in the light of science, there is a new meaning of this verse. The place the battle occurred is the lowest point on the face of the Earth.

Allah Zaujal says in AL-ANFAL (8:26)
And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.

Allah reminds the Muslims of their situation before, that they were few, oppressed and lived in fear of abduction. But Allah sheltered, supported, and provided for them.

Miracles that occurred in Badr

·         The reducing of number in sight.
·         The rain
·         The Muslims slept peacefully the night before the battle
·         The angels coming down
·         Rusool Allah (saw) said that Umaiyya will be killed so his prophecy was fulfilled.
·         Okajha had a wooden sword but when Rusool Allah (saw) held it turned into a real sword.
·         The killings of the Imams of Kufr, because before the battle Rusool Allah (saw) said that this is where so and so will be killed, and this is where so and so will be killed. These people were killed on the exact spots that were mentioned by Rusool Allah (saw).
·         Qatada ibn Numan was hit and one his eye fell out of its socket and was hanging by a nerve. They were about to cut it, but Rusool Allah (saw) told them not to do so. Rusool Allah (saw) held the eye, placed it back in the socket and then wiped it. Qatada said, “That eye became stronger than my other eye.”
·         Knowing the where bouts of the money of Al-Abbas
·         Revealing the assassination plot that Wahab ibn Umair was planning

All of these miracles happened at the time of Badr. It is true that Quran is the miracle of Muhammed (saw).

Another ghazwat was Ghazwat Dhuimr, there were 450 Muslims, this ghazwat was against a tribe in Najd. Rusool Allah (saw) attacked them because he heard they were planning to attack him. Rusool Allah (saw) goes to their territory to meet them, on the way he (saw) arrests one of their men called Jabar bin Taliba, later on he becomes Muslim. When they reached there, it was raining; the clothes of Rusool Allah (saw) got wet, so he took off his armor and hung it on a tree. He then lay down under the tree so that his clothes could dry. So Jathur, the head of the enemy’s army sneaked in and stood right above Rusool Allah (saw) with is sword in his hand. Jathur woke Muhammed (saw) and said, “Oh Muhammed! Who can save you from me now?”

Rusool Allah (saw) with all confidence said Allah, suddenly Jathur falls back dropping his sword. Rusool Allah (saw) picks up his sword and stands on top of Jathur and said, “Oh Jathur! Who can protect YOU from me now?” Jathur then pleads to Rusool Allah (saw) to spare his life. Jathur then became Muslim. When Jathur went back to his people, he was asked him what happened, he said, “A tall man stood in front of  me and pushed me in my chest, and that was Jibrael (as).” So Jathur who wanted to kill Muhammed (saw) became Muslim, he went back to his people and invited them to Islam…many of them became Muslim. This was one of the miracles that happened.

Miracles of the Battle of Uhud:
Ubayy bin Khalaf: He was the leader of the hypocrites. Ubayy bin Khalaf used to say, “I am going to kill Muhammed.” When that news reached Rusool Allah (saw), he said, “No, I will kill him.” So in the battle of Uhud, Ubayy ibn Khalaf charges at Muhammed (saw) on his horse. This horse used to be fed special food; like corn and he would say, “I am going to kill Muhammed on you.” So when he was charging at Muhammed (saw), the sahabah said that they wanted to volunteer and stop the attack. But Rusool Allah (saw) didn’t allow them. The Messenger of Allah (saw) picks up a spear and shakes it in his hand, the sahabah flew away, and then Rusool Allah (saw) throws it at Ubayy bin Khalaf who was covered in armor, you could only see his eye. There was a small opening between the helmet and his armor, at his neck, the spear struck him right there and it reached his neck but it couldn’t go through because of the steel armor. Ubayy ibn Khalaf falls from his horse, and he goes back runnning to his people bellowing like a bull screaming. They said, “What’s wrong with you?” He said, Muhammed killed him. They uncovered him, and they didn’t see any injury in his neck, they said, “There is nothing wrong with you, why are you so terrified?” He said, “Because Muhammed told me that he will kill me, if he did nothing but spit on me, I would die.”

SubhanAllah, they believed every word of Rusool Allah (saw) so much. Just because Rasool Allah (saw) said, that he (saw) will kill him, Ubayy thought that it will happen as Rasool Allah (saw) said it.

In another narration he said, “If the pain I am suffering is distributed amongst all the people in Mecca, it will be sufficient to kill them.” And very shortly after, he died. This is a miracle as what Rasool Allah (saw) prophesied came true. This is the only person who we know Rasool Allah (saw) killed in battle, there may be others but Ubayy bin Khalaf is the only one who’s name is known.

Rasool Allah (saw) sais, “Great is Allah’s wrath, against the man whom the Messenger of Allah kills in Allah’s cause.” So the worst of men is the one whom the Messenger of Allah kills.
Abdullah bin Umer said one night when he was travelling, in the same place where Ubayy bin Khalaf was killed, he said, “suddenly I saw flames of fire and then I saw a man being dragged in chains asking for water and the response was, ‘don’t provide him with any water, this is a man who was killed by the Messenger of Allah.” So Abdullah ibn Umer was able to see the torment of Ubayy bin Khalaf. You see, it happens that some men will be able to see the punishment of the kuffar or the pleasure of Muslims. This could happen in dreams, or it could happen in front of you as what happened with Abdullah bin Umer. So some people might be shown scenes from the Unseen by the will of Allah.

During this expedition there was an interesting conversation between Jaber (ra) and Rusool Allah (saw).  Jaber (ra) bin Abdullah was riding a feeble weak camel and his comrades were getting ahead of him. So Rusool Allah (saw) approaches him and said, “What’s wrong Jaber?” Jaber (ra) said, “Oh Messenger of Allah, this camel of mine is slowing me down.” Rusool Allah (saw) told him, “Make it new.”  While Rusool Allah (saw) was dismounting he said, “Give me that stick of yours or get one for me from a tree.” Jaber (ra) gave him the stick. Rusool Allah (saw) prodded the camel with that stick and then he told Jaber bin Abdullah (ra), “Mount up.” Jaber (ra) said, “My weak camel was now competing with the fast camel of Rusool Allah (saw).” This was a miracle.

Miracles at Ghazwat Al-Khandaq

  • When the muslims were digging the trench, Jaber ibn Abdullah saw the condition of Rusool Allah (saw). People had tied one stone to their stomach while Rusool Allah (saw) had two stones tied to his stomach. Jaber goes back to his wife and tells her, “I have seen Rusool Allah (saw) in an intolerable condition. Do you have any food for him?” She said, “All what I have is some barley and a small goat.” Jaber goes and slaughters the goat, and he tells his wife to prepare some dough for baking bread, while the meat was cooking. Jaber went to Rusool Allah (saw) and said, “I have some food for you, so you can come along with one or two of your companions.” Rusool Allah (saw) asked him how much food he has, when Jaber (ra) told him, he (saw) said, “Oh that’s plenty. Tell your wife not to move the meat from its place until I come.” And then Rusool Allah (saw) stands up and to the amazement of Jaber, Rusool Allah (saw) said, “Oh Muhajirun! Oh Ansar! Jaber has prepared some for you.”

Jaber asked Rusool Allah (saw) to bring one or two companions and he (saw) had invited the entire camp. Jaber runs back home very embarrassed, he didn’t know what to do. Jaber told his wife, so she said, “Did he ask you how much food we have?” He said, “Yes.” She then said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” Jaber said, “Those words comforted me.”

Rusool Allah (saw) comes in and he would pour the soup and the meat and crush bread over it, he told the sahabah to come in, in groups. The sahabah were very hungry so Rusool Allah (saw) told them to slow down. They would come in, in groups of ten; Rusool Allah (saw) prepared the food for them, and brought it for them. They would eat and leave, then another ten came in, Rusool Allah (Saw) would prepare meal for them again they would eat and leave and so on. When they were done Rusool Allah (saw) went back and the pot was full as it was and the bread was still baking in the oven. So Rusool Allah (saw) told the wife of Jaber to feed her neighbors. This was a miracle of Rusool Allah (saw).

  •  When they were digging the trench, a bolder stood in their way, and they could not move it, or break it. The sahabah went and told Rusool Allah (saw) about it, he (saw) went there grabbed an axe, and said ‘Bismillah’ and struck it, a lightening came out, Rusool Allah (saw) said, “Allah u Akbar.” He then struck it again, light came out, and he (saw) said, “Allah u Akbar”, he (saw) struck it a third time and then it disintegrated into dust and Rusool Allah (saw) said, “Allah u Akbar.” Salman asked Rusool Allah (saw), “Oh Messenger of Allah, why were you saying Allah u Akbar and what was that light?” Rusool Allah (saw) said, “The first time I struck it, I was given the glad tidings of conquering the Roman Empire, and I could see the red palaces of Syria right here, the second time I said Allah u Akbar, I was given the glad tidings of conquering the Persian Empire and I was able to see its white palace from right here and the time I said Allah u Akbar was that I was given the glad tidings of conquering Yemen and I was able to see the gates of Sinah from right here.”

Notice here that Rusool Allah (saw) was given the glad tidings at the worst of times, when the morale was low, when you are beseiged. But that was the whole point of giving glad tidings that is when glad tidings should be given. When you are weak and you’re almost going to give up. In the time of today, if the Muslims are weak and feel defeated then we should give them the glad tidings that Rusool Allah (saw) gave us, “This religion will reach as far as night and day can reach. Allah has shown me the entire Earth and He told me the kingdon of my nation will reach all of it.” Victory belongs to this ummah.

360 Bodily Joints
Until the beginning of 2006, the total number of known joints in the entire human body was 340. If someone like me, who believes in the ultimate knowledge of the Prophet's quotations, told a Human Anatomy Professor that the correct number of body joints is actually 360, I would have been laughed out of the room.
As a matter fact, to have an illiterate man, in a harsh desert, in the middle of the 7th century come that close to the scientific number of joints in the 21st century by it margin of just 5% is astounding.
The number of joints the Prophet mentioned fourteen centuries ago was the correct number of joints and until 2006 scientists did not know it.
Who made that a new fact, then? Well, the scientists themselves.
In 2006 German Dr. Stein discovered a small complex of bone joints inside the left ear next to the brain. A similar complex of ten joints was discovered in the right ear. The total number of joints in the human body is now scientifically confirmed to be 360 joints exactly like the last Prophet of God had stated:
"He (God) had created every son of Adam upon sixty and three hundred joints. So whoever praised God, thanked God, certified the oneness of God, glorified. God, asked God for his forgiveness, and removed a stone, thorns or bones from the path of people; demanded virtue and prohibited vice as many as these 360, he will be walking that day edging himself away from Hellfire."

The Hidden Message and the Messenger
Ali Ibn Abi Talib narrated that:
"The Prophet bad sent me with three companions to the garden of Khakh. He told us to:

'Go to the garden of' Khakh. There you will find a woman of the infidels carrying a message from Hateb Ibn Abi Baltaa to the infldels (the enemies)'

We found the woman riding exactly where the Prophet had told us, so we asked her: 'Give us the message' Ali said. The woman denied and said, 'l have no message.' We took her off her ride, and we searched what she was carrying with her but we could not find any message. So we told her, 'The Prophet of God does not lie. You either bring out the message or we will strip your garments off to find it.' When she realized that we were serious, she removed a
piece of cloth that she tied around her, and from underneath she uncovered the message. "
Narrator: Aly Ibn Abi Talib. Ref.: Saheeh Al Bukhary. No: 3007. Degree : Correct

How did the Prophet know that there was a message to begin with?
How did he know which woman was carrying it? More interestingly, how did the Prophet know her exact location? It was revealed to him by the source of ultimate knowledge.

CURING DISEASES
Instantly Healing a Broken Arm
Muhammad Ibn Hateb narrated that:
"He fell on his arm, then his mother brought him to the Prophet, saying to him, 'Oh Prophet of God who is dearer to me than my father and mother, this is Muhammad lbn Hateb .. .' then he (prophet Muhammad) wiped over your head, supplicated for you, and kept spitting on your hands, saying:

'Take the harm away, Oh God of people, cure, for you are the curer, for there is no cure but your cure, a cure that does not leave behind any illness.' Ibn Hateb's mother said, 'We left the Prophet with Ibn Hateb's hands totally healed."

Instantly Curing a Broken Leg
Al Baraa, may God be pleased with him, said:
" ...I kept opening the doors one by one, till I ended up with one step. I put my feet on thinking it was the ground, where I stepped and fell down, breaking my leg. So I tied my leg and went to the Prophet, who asked me to extend my leg before him; then he wiped it, till I felt as if I've never complained about it at all."

The frontier healing theories today focus on many aspects, targeting what is known by energy healing. The whole theory is that every iota of our being is made of vibrating energy at a certain frequency and at a certain concentration. Healing then for ill cells which are out of their proper frequencies is that you immerse them in the proper frequency or healing fields that will bring them back to their normal state. Scientifically documented healings are known to be conditional upon the well wishing and relation between the healer and the healee. We will explain energy healing further in next healing miracle.

Abu Hurayrah's Excellent Memory
You may have probably noticed, by now, that a large percentage of the correct quotations of the Prophet in this book are narrated by a companion named Abu Hurayrah. If you did, then you have come across the name of the man who narrated most of the Prophet's quotations. His name after he became a Muslim was Abdul Rahman; Abu Hurayrah, which means "the man of the cat," is his nickname since he was known for his kindness towards animals, particularly the little cat that he cared for and that followed him everywhere he went.
When he was asked about his ability to memorize all these quotations and never forget one of them, Abu Hurayrah told them about what had happened that made him possess such an excellent memory. He said that he was just a poor simple man with no special abilities whatsoever, till he attended a gathering of knowledge
around the Prophet, after which he never forgot a word he heard:
"I was but a poor man; I stay with the prophet with whatever that I ate (that day) ... But I had this (happen to me) one day with the Prophet. He said:
"Whoever will extend his garb before him till I finish my talk, then fold it back, he will never forget a thing that he heard from me,' and I swear with whomever had sent him (the Prophet) with the truth, I never forgot anything I heard from him (since then)"
Narrator: Abu Hurayrah. Reference: Saheeh Al Bukhary. page: 7354, Degree: Correct,

By just extending his garb and folding it back, Abu Hurayrah was able to gain an excellent memory for life. Did the Prophet supplicate that the air before Abu Hurayrah to contain a positive healing energy to grant him this super memory? Was this the same energy that was created by the Prophet' s supplications that allowed a broken leg to
heal in a second? State of the art theories about healing energy talk about these strong energy fields that completely heal people. It is true and evident that the Prophet's healing powers were given to him by God.

According to the Science of Energy Healing:
Just as we have a physical anatomy, we also have an "energy anatomy." This is the human energy field or "aura" that surrounds and permeates the physical body. The physical body could be thought of as only one of a number of bodies which comprise our energy anatomy. There are a variety of descriptions and images of the energy field in both ancient and advanced imaging, Both maps describe the aura as being in layers; many of them, though not all, emphasize the importance of energy centers where significant energy exchanges take place between these layers.

Energy healing effects change by positively influencing the energy field. This is part of the larger field of "Energy Medicine." Use of sounds (supplications, in our case) is an example of Energy Medicine, in that: they contain "vibratory patterns" which influence the energetic patterns at work in this physiology. Energy Healing is a unique part: of Energy Medicine in that it involves the conscious use of the energy field of the healer to affect the energy field of the "healee." It is simply the interaction of healer and healee on an energetic level which directs the work. (Excellent references on energy medicine are Richard Gerber's Vibrational Medicine and James Oschmau's Energy Medicine).

                                                 Satellite Imagery in 7th Century
As if the previous miracle locating the lowest point on the surface of the Earth 14 centuries before the invention of satellites was not enough, prophet Muhammad told of a similarly astonishing miracle in the middle of the 7th century.
In his well-known and correct hadeeth in Sahih Muslim, Prophet Muhammad, while explaining the events associated with him and his followers entering Paradise for the first time, described the width of one of the doors of Paradise. He said:
“…and I swear by Whom my soul is in His hand, what is between the two hinges (of that door) of paradise is to you as the difference between Mecca and Hajar (a city in the far east of the Arab Peninsula, close to today’s Bahrain), or the difference between Mecca and Busra (which is to the far north of the Arab Peninsula, close to Syria)”. Narrator: Abu Hurayrah. Reference: Sahih Muslim, No: 194. Degree: Correct.
“.. والذي نفسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بيدِه ! إن ما بين المِصراعَيْنِ من مَصاريعِ الجنةِ لَكَما بين مكةَ وهَجَرٍ . أو كما بينَ مكةَ وبُصْرَى”
الراوي:أبو هريرة المصدر:صحيح مسلم– الرقم:194الدرجه:صحيح
In a later chapter in this book, which discusses the description of Paradise in the Quranic verses and the quotations of the Prophet, you will be less amazed by the width of a door of Jannah, (which is 1273 kilometers wide, according to the Prophet) as it is relative to the reality and existence of Paradise in accordance to dimensions of space, not to the miniscule dimensions of planet Earth. It is still a miracle, however, that we were told of its size and description beforehand and before any human being could realize it. However, having said that, this alone is not the miracle, since our belief in the accuracy of the prophethood and the abilities of God is currently the only evidence of its truthfulness. In other words, this is obviously a miracle to Muslims. Yet if you’re not a Muslim or are still thinking about it, it is not a scientific or an independently logical proof – at least not yet!
The miracle here is that in that same description of the door of Paradise, the prophet had stated that the straight line distances between Mecca and Hajar vs Mecca and Busra are equal! To us, with our satellites, Google Earthapplications, and GPS navigation devices, we can easily determine the fact. But if you go back to the 17th century, let alone the 7th century, it was virtually impossible to make that measurement, for no one had any access to a straight line measurement through the valleys and mountains into the two towns. In other words, we would not have known till the advent of airplanes, when the measurements would have been somewhat approximate with an aerial view, or the measuring time to reach both cities. Prophet Muhammad had not only told us the size of the door in which he will go through into Paradise, but had confirmed a scientific fact that could have not been realized, identified, or confirmed till the advent of satellites.
How could that be possible, unless it was knowledge conveyed by the ultimate creator who has limitless knowledge and power over time, distance, and future? That is your Creator and my Creator: the one mighty God.
A Google earth display of the amazing accuracy of the Prophet description of the two distances 14 centuries before satellite imagery were available.

State of the Art Stem Cell Application
What are stem cells?
Stem cells are biological cells found in all multicellular organisms, that can divide and differentiate into diverse specialized cell types of all organs of the body. Stem cells can independently renew to produce more stem cells.
With the amazing abilities stem cells have in producing identical organs to the organs of the same person, the ethical and logical question, however, became a major obstacle: advancing the research had been struggling between opponents and supporters. Where could this stem cell used in such research come from? In the early 2000s, this ethical question was rampant since the leading source of stem cells at the time was human embryos. The question of when a person becomes a person and at which stage of his or her evolvement as a being can determine when we could use embryos for stem cell research. The promise of stem cell applications in curing diseases and new organ transplantation, especially for degenerative diseases, had forced a significant wave of research trying to find other sources of stem cells. A major breakthrough was achieved by the Japanese, who discovered techniques of extracting these stem cells from the same person’s own skin, which was an “ethical-question-proof ” way of advancing the application. Other scientists, however, have made a significant new discovery: a nursing mother’s breast milk is laden with stem cells.
*Peter Hartmann at the University of Western Australia in Crawley and his colleagues first announced the discovery of stem cells in breast milk in 2008. Now they have grown them in the lab and shown that they can turn into cells representative of all three embryonic germ layers, called the endoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm – a defining property of embryonic stem cells (ESC). “They can become bone cells, joint cells, fat cells, pancreatic cells that produce their own insulin, liver cells that produce albumin and also neuronal cells,” says Foteini Hassiotou, a member of Hartmann’s lab team, who led the recent work.
*”The value in harvesting stem cells from breast milk lies in their incredible potential to develop into many different cell types in the body during early life and growth. They have the ability to act as a type of ‘internal repair system.’”
PR Newswire
It means that these stem cells can significantly enhance and modify the genetic structure of a baby, a form of genetic therapy in itself. The more astonishing discovery after that breakthrough, however, is a quotation of prophet Muhammad that produced a unique rule of marriage in Islam than in any other culture or law: Any male and female who were breast-fed more than five fulfilling nursings by the same woman, are considered to be brothers and sisters. Hence they can never get married. Even if one of them was biologically the son or daughter of completely different parents than the parents of the counterparty.
In the event of the Prophet talking to Sahlah Bint Suhail the wife of Abi Huzaifah about her breast feeding the young child Salem, the prophet had said to her:
“If you breast feed Salem five times you will be forbiden to him (as his mother is forbidden to marry him)” Narr: Suhailah Bint Suhail. Ref: The fatwas of Ibn Baz, No: 240/22. Degree: Correct.
This simply meant 14 centuries ago, without any additional explanation, that five fulfilling breastfeedings would cause a genetic change that makes that breast-fed baby the biological son or daughter of the breastfeeding mother.
Was there any idea what a stem cell was in the middle of the 7th century, let alone what a cell was? I want to remind the reader, that a fourth grader today has more knowledge about science, math, and geography than the most knowledgeable scholar on the face of the planet in the middle of the 7th century!
And as clear as the evidence is of the mercy of God upon ourselves, the quotation of the prophet did not just say “Hey, beware that if you breast-feed another baby, you are creating a half-sister or half-brother to your own children” and that would have been an undisputed miracle for its time – yet it additionally defined the amount and the number of nursings that would trigger that effect. The mercy, in this case, was protecting mankind from the disasters that through long and painful generational experiences, has taught us that the marriage of brothers and sisters can cause devastating ailments, mental retardation, and a myriad of health problems.
It is worth mentioning that in Muslim countries the term “Breast-feeding-brother” or “Breast-feeding-sister” is as well known and used as a “half-brother” or “half-sister”
Who taught Muhammad (PBUH) stem cells genetic therapy?

Prophecies of Muhammad (PBUH)
LAST DAY MEANS LAST AGE
- Courtesy Sheikh Imran Hossein
The term ‘Last Day’ in reality stands for the ‘Last Age’, or the age which would culminate in the end of history—when the true Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary (not son of God), would return to rule the world from Jerusalem with justice and ‘eternal’ rule. It would be ‘eternal’ in the sense that history would end with that event. Life on earth beyond that event, and after Jesus dies a human death and is buried next to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon them both) in Madinah, would not qualify as history. This would be so since the modern secular rope would have reached its predictable end in total godlessness, and with such a consequent collapse of morals, and of moral consciousness, that people would forget their human status and “would engage in sexual intercourse in public like donkeys”. Already it is quite clear (particularly at the time of Trinidad’s Carnival) that we are quite close to the fulfillment of that ominous prophecy made by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
So much so then, for the spurious claims of the one-eyed Judeo-Christian western civilization and its ‘colored house slaves’ around the world. They claim that mankind is witnessing unprecedented progress, that the present is the best of all ages, that the world keeps on growing better and better, and that modern western civilization has rendered all previous civilizations, including Islam, moribund and obsolete!
So much so, then, for the local one-eyed ‘house slave’ here in my native island of Trinidad who insists that Muslims must remain a part of ‘mainstream society’ -even when that mainstream is heading for the hell-fire.
When a ship is sinking and you cannot prevent it from sinking, you have to get off that ship, and urge others as well to do so. The ship of the world is now sinking! The evidence is all around us as plainly visible as daylight! But those who are blind cannot see that the ship is sinking. They use their checkbooks, or the barrels of their guns, to impose themselves around the world as leaders. The blind then lead the blind until all are lost and will be drowned like the people of Noah (peace be upon him).
Prophet Muhammad prophesied many more signs of the Last Day other than public ‘donkey sex’. Most of these are known as the ‘minor’ signs. Let us describe some of them (randomly selected) before we turn to the ten ‘major’ signs in which we venture to include the major underwater earthquake and resultant Tsunami in South East Asia that occurred in late December 2004.
MINOR SIGNS Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) prophesied of the Last Age that:

• “People would follow a way of life other than mine, and give guidance other than mine”…“I fear for my people only the leaders who lead men astray”…“Before the Last Hour there will be great liars, so beware of them”…“When the most wicked member of a tribe becomes its ruler, and the most worthless member of a community becomes its leader, and a man is respected through fear of the evil he may do, and leadership is given to people who are unworthy of it, expect the Last Hour”. All of these warnings have already been dramatically and ominously fulfilled. Around the world today, with but few exceptions, and even here in my native Caribbean island of Trinidad, people, including Muslims, now have the worst leaders. This ominous sign of the Last Day has come to pass, yet there are so many who do not, or cannot see, and they blindly rush as dumb cattle to endorse or to follow such leaders for personal gain, or fear, or due to sheer ignorance; • “Women would arrange their hair to look like the hump of a camel”, and this sign has already occurred, we see it everyday;
• “Women would dress like men”, and we already see them today with trousers, jacket and, perhaps, a tie; and “women would be dressed and yet be naked”, and this prophecy, also, is now fulfilled. When women parade in public “dressed, yet naked”, as they do today, and when Muslims cannot prevent such, they should then seek to flee from such mainstream society rather than to remain a part of it until the women are fully naked and “donkey-like” sexual intercourse is on public display. If they foolishly choose to remain a part of such corrupt and decadent society then they or their children would eventually be ruined by such a society.
• “Men would dress like women”, and already this sign also has come to pass. Almost no one can tell that ‘she’, the so-called ‘crossdresser’, is really a man;

• Homosexuality (and lesbianism) would become commonplace, and that is now happening before our very eyes. Social acceptance and legal protection for this abominable sexual perversion is gaining ground. Indeed those who hold fast to the divine prohibition of such sexual perversion are now demonized as a people who suffer from a disease called ‘homophobia’;

• Children born outside of marriage would become commonplace, in fact marriage itself now seems destined to become obsolete;

• Fornication and adultery would become commonplace, that, also, appears to have already been fulfilled in a modern world in which virginity and marital fidelity are becoming old-fashioned;

• Disproportion in balance of men and women to such an extent that “one man would have to maintain (not marry) fifty women”, that is yet to occur but could be linked to the impact on male sperm production of such things as environmental pollution and genetically modified food;

• Universal consumption of alcoholic beverages, this “mother of all evils” has already become a horrendous plague in which no one is safe from the drunk driver; the unborn baby drinks when his mother drinks and suffers unimaginably for such; people, including Prime Ministers, drink and become drunk, and then behave in public like asses;
• “Religious knowledge would disappear”, since the rightly-guided scholars of Islam are demonized, marginalized, “banned”, or declared to be “great security risks”. Only those scholars who can skillfully skip and dance to the tunes of those who control power are allowed the unfettered freedom to preach a sanitized cosmetic version of Islam acceptable to the godless rulers of the world. Institutions of Islamic learning are forced to submit to the control of those waging war on Islam. If they do not submit, they are shut down. Foreign students are prohibited from studying Islam in certain so-called Islamic Republics;
• “Time would move swiftly—a year passing like a month—a month like a week—a week like a day” etc., and already the perception of swiftly moving time is a universal experience;
• Such prevalence of random killing, murder and violence that “a killer would not know why he is killing and the one who is killed would not know why he is being killed”, and “every age is followed by one which would be worse”—already around the world senseless random killing has arrived and is constantly escalating;
• “Nothing would remain of Islam but the name, and nothing would remain of the Qur’an but the traces (of its writing) (i.e., the Qur’an would not be studied, no one would follow its guidance, it would be recited mechanically etc.); the Masajid (mosques) would be grand structures but would be devoid of guidance; and the Ulama (religious scholars of Islam who represent such people) would be the worst people beneath the sky. From them would emerge Fitnah (trials) and they would be the centers of Fitnah (since they betray Islam)” — there are many distinguished scholars of Islam who declare that this prophesy, also, has today found fulfillment. The evidence of such is overwhelming. The Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) has been long destroyed, Zakat is no longer collected and distributed by the state, money itself is now corrupted, the universal Shirk of the modern state has corrupted all of mankind, Riba is universally prevalent, the Hajj would probably soon be abandoned;
• Universal consumption of Riba (i.e, money lent on interest, and transactions which ‘rip off’ people through deception in business, etc.) Around the world today Riba in modern banking and insurance, as well as in the monetary system, has already taken total control over the market and over economic life. There are some minor signs which have been couched inenigmatic language such as,
• “A slave woman would give birth to her mistress”, made possible through a combination of Riba and the modern feminist revolution, and; • “Naked barefooted shepherds would vie with one another in the construction of high-rise buildings”. This is already being fulfilled when wealth is wasted in grandiose and expensive public relations construction projects commissioned by people who hanker for visible symbols of status in a modern world which recognizes the rich as a ‘somebody’ and the poor as a ‘nobody’ (see story of the rich man and the poor man in Surah al-Kahf of the Qur’an).
And then there are minor signs which have not as yet occurred such as:
• “The Last Hour would not come until there issues from the land of the Hejaz (which is in Saudi Arabia) a fire which will illuminate the backs of the camels in Busra”. But for the exchange of Basra for Hejaz, this prophecy perhaps, anticipates a nuclear attack in or around Iran which would formally launch Israel into the club of nuclear powers. So many of these minor Signs of the Last Day, and so many more not here mentioned, have already occurred, that we can now turn to the major Signs with a clear recognition that we are already living in that Last Age.
MAJOR SIGNS Hudhayfah ibn Usayd Ghifari, the companion of the Prophet, said,
“Allah’s Messenger came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He asked: What are you discussing? (The Companions) replied: We are discussing (the subject of) the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs. And (in this connection) he made a mention of the ‘smoke’, ‘Dajjal’, the ‘beast’, the ‘rising of the sun from the west’, the ‘descent of Jesus son of Mary’, ‘Gog and Magog’, ‘sinkings of the earth in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia’ at the end of which ‘fire would burn forth from Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly’ (i.e., the place where mankind will be assembled for judgment).”
(Sahih Muslim)
Here, then, are the ten major Signs of the Last Day as prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him):
• Dajjal — the false Messiah or Anti-Christ,
• Gog and Magog,
• Smoke,
• The beast of the earth or land (most likely the holy land),
• The sun would rise from the west,
• Three sinkings of the earth
      • one in the east
      • One in the west
      • and One in Arabia,
• A fire would come out of Yemen and would drive people to their place of assembly (for judgement),
• The son of Mary would descend. Although these signs were not given by the blessed Prophet (peace and blessings of

Allah Most High be upon him) in their chronological order of occurrence I have made an effort to put them in that order, with the ones that have not as yet occurred at the bottom of the list. How did I arrive at the above order? We know from the prophecies of the blessed Prophet that the third major ‘sinking of the earth’, i.e., the one that would occur in Arabia, would swallow an army that would be heading south to Makkah. That army would be on its way to attack Imam al-Mahdi, the descendent of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). It was prophesied that he would restore the Islamic Caliphate (or Islamic model of a state) in the Arabian peninsula. It is after that sign has occurred (i.e., the third major earthquake) that the son of Mary would descend from the sky with his hands resting on the wings of two angels, and would kill Dajjal the False Messiah or Anti-Christ. The Qur’an itself has described Jesus (i.e., the return of Jesus) as the ‘ilm (which here means the very key to the subject) of the Last Hour:
“And he (i.e., Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow Me: this is a Straight Way.”
(Qur’an, Zukhruf, 43:61)
It follows that his return must come chronologically at the end of the list. We also know that the ‘fire’ from Yemen would follow the third earthquake. And so now that it appears that the major earthquake in the East has occurred, we await four more major signs that still remain to occur. When did the first six ‘major’ signs occur?
DAJJAL
I have argued in my book, ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an – An Islamic View of the Destiny of Jerusalem’, that Dajjal the False Messiah or Antichrist was released into the world in the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). He has already completed the first stage of his mission that lasted for “a day like a year”, and is about to complete the second stage that lasts for “a day like a month”. The third and last stage of his mission (of impersonation of the true Messiah) that would last for just “a day like a week” would, I believe, commence when Israel replaces USA as the ruling state of the world. And that would occur when Israel wages a big war that would result in dramatic territorial expansion “from the river of Egypt to the river Euphrates”. Israel would then seize control of the Suez Canal and all the oil of the Arabian Gulf.
By the end of that third stage, Dajjal the false Messiah or Antichrist would have been born into the world of Jewish parents, would have risen to become ruler of Israel and, hence, would have completed his mission to rule the world from Jerusalem. And Allah Knows best!
An entire chapter of the book is devoted to explaining the subject of Dajjal. I am now writing a quartet of books on Surah al-Kahf of the Qur’an, and one of the four books would be entirely devoted to a comprehensive explanation of the subject of Dajjal, the false Messiah or Anti-Christ in Islam Insha Allah.
GOG AND MAGOG I have also argued in my book that Gog and Magog were released into the world in the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). The Qur’an itself has made mention (Qur’an, al-Anbiyah, 21:94-5) of a ‘town’ which was destroyed by Allah Most High, and the people of the town expelled, and then banned from returning to reclaim their town until Gog and Magog were not only released but, also, had spread out (around the world) in all directions.
“But there is a ban on a town which We have destroyed: that they (the people of the town) shall not return (to reclaim that town as their own); until Gog and Magog are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly spread out in every direction (replicating themselves amongst all the peoples of the world).” (Qur’an, al-Anbiyah, 21:95-96)
I identified that ‘town’ to be Jerusalem. And since the Jews have already returned to Jerusalem to reclaim it as their own, it follows that Gog and Magog, like Dajjal, are also close to the end of their mission. And Allah Knows best!
Another entire chapter of ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an’ is devoted to explaining the subject of Gog and Magog. In addition, the fourth of the quartet of books on Surah al-Kahf will be devoted to a comprehensive explanation of this subject Insha Allah.
DUKHAN (SMOKE) This appears to be totality of environmental pollution (not just smog and haze) that is already wreaking havoc on the earth itself and is bringing about global warming with the consequent impact of earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding etc. The modern industrial economy that Dajjal has authored, appears to be the greatest culprit of environmental pollution in the world today. In other words, we have been tricked into causing Dukhan (smoke) which in turn spawns global warming and eventual climatic disaster. And Allah Knows best! However, it is important that we note that there are several Ahadith in Sahih Bukhari that declare the sign of Dukhan (smoke) already appeared in the lifetime of the blessed Prophet.
D’ABBATUL ARD (THE BEAST OF THE LAND OR EARTH) I have argued in ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an’ that the beast of the earth’ is, in fact, the imposter State of Israel that now occupies the Holy Land. The learned Shaikh, Safar al-Hawali, holds the view that the ‘beast’ is the Zionist Movement. And Allah Knows best!
THE SUN WOULD RISE FROM THE WEST Those who interpret this sign literally assume that the order of nature would be reversed despite the Qur’anic declaration that there can be no change in Allah’s creation (of that natural order):

“So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the faith: (establish) Allah’s handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (can there be) in Allah’s creation: that is the standard religion: but most among mankind understand not.” (Qur’an, al-Rum, 30:30)
They also do so despite the specific declaration of Prophet Abraham (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) that his Lord-God causes the sun to rise from the East. Abraham then proceeded to challenge the King to cause the sun to rise from the West if he possessed power greater than Allah’s:
Hast thou not turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said:

“My Lord is He Who giveth life and death.” He said: “I give life and death.” Said Abraham: “But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the East do thou then cause it to rise from the West!” Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected Faith. Nor doth Allah give guidance to a people unjust. (Qur’an, al-Baqarah, 2:258)
And so they wait for that western sunrise as an event that would literally occur, while ignoring the basic rule that no Hadith can contradict the Qur’an.
But this sign has provoked numerous other non-literal interpretations, all of which agree that it has already occurred. Our view is that the rising of the sun from the West symbolizes an upside– down world in which mankind is led by their noses to a way of life which would be the very opposite of that natural way ordained by Allah. Natural money, for example, so identified in the Qur’an, is derived from precious metals. When such money is in short supply in a market such as Madina’s, then a substitute in the form of commodities such as wheat, barley, dates, salt, etc., can temporarily take its place. Around the world today that natural money with intrinsic value has been displaced by artificial money with no intrinsic value and it is used as an instrument of oppression. That upside-down unnatural way of life has already been accepted by most of mankind. In this sense, therefore, the sun is already rising from the West. And Allah Knows best!
THREE SINKINGS OF THE EARTH Many terrible earthquakes have already occurred in history. They have no relevance to our subject. We are concerned with three major ‘sinkings of the earth’ that would occur at a specific moment in history, i.e., they would occur at a time that would herald the return of Jesus, the Messiah, the son of Mary, and Messenger of Allah Most High. One would occur in the East, the second in the West, and the third in Arabia. When the third one takes place, the world of Islam would suddenly and dazzlingly reenter the affairs of the Arabian peninsular, as well as of the world, in the same revolutionary way that it did in the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). This appears to be the meaning of the last of the major signs (prior to the return of Jesus) mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him), i.e., that a fire would come out of Yemen and drive people to their place of assembly (i.e., for judgment) which is Arafat in Arabia.
THE EARTHQUAKE IN THE EAST I believe that the recent massive earthquake and resultant Tsunami in South East Asia which has claimed many more than 100,000 lives, is the earthquake of the East mentioned by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) in the ten major Signs of the Last Day. It could thus be the first of three such earthquakes heralding the return of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). I came to this conclusion because of the following reasons:
Firstly, the prophecy of the blessed Prophet is that a ‘khasf’ would occur in the East, i.e., the earth sinks down or caves in. A ‘Tsunami’ is defined as a sea wave of local or distant origin that results from large-scale seafloor displacements associated with large earthquakes, major submarine slides, or exploding volcanic islands. When this recent displacement of the earth occurred under the sea, and consequently resulted in the massive Tsunami, it ensured that those who have maliciously concealed the Truth time and again in history could not conceal this major Sign of the Last Day. The magnitude of the event, i.e., the severity of the earthquake (9 on the Richter scale) and, more importantly, the massive damage already done and still unfolding, makes it absolutely unique for mankind today.
Secondly, I am impressed by the location of the event - it occurred in that East which is clearly east of Madinah.
Thirdly, and most important of all, I would like to direct attention to the time that it occurred. This was after the liberation of the Holy Land (1917), and return of the Jews to reclaim the Holy Land as their own (1918-1948). It was also after the restoration of a State of Israel in the Holy Land (1948) and the growth of Israel to become a superpower in the world (i.e., the present). Finally it occurred at precisely that time when Israel is about to wage her big war of massive territorial expansion after which Israel would replace USA as the ruling state in the world. Jesus cannot return until all these things have occurred. It has also occurred at that time when the prophecy of the Prophet concerning the abandonment of the Hajj seems about to be fulfilled. The Hajj would pose a gigantic security threat to the present Saudi ruling elite whenever Israel wages its big war and assumes rule over the world. And it has occurred at just that time when the US dollar has begun its perhaps irreversible decline that might culminate in its collapse. Such a collapse would also bring down all the paper-money in the world and electronic money, controlled by the Jewish-controlled banking system, would then control all the money in the money-system of the world.
This momentous Sign in the East that occurred at the end of December 2004 appears, therefore, to be a sign to mankind warning that dangerous change in the world will soon take place.
It appears to be the first of the three major earthquakes, or ‘sinkings of the earth’, as prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him), which would herald the return of the true Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah Most High. If we are correct, and Allah Knows best, then the world has to await only two more such major events before the son of Mary returns to liberate us from the oppressors who now rule the world.
THE SECOND EARTHQUAKE IN THE WEST When a second massive earthquake (with a sinking down, caving in, or displacement of the earth) eventually occurs in the west, after the recent one in the east, that would further confirm the analysis presented in this essay. All that would then remain to occur for Jesus to descend from the clouds would be the third earthquake in Arabia that would swallow an entire army, and the fire that would come out of Yemen. We are so close to that event that we can already feel the heat of that fire. Although what appears to be the first of the three major earthquakes occurred underwater and resulted in the massive Tsunami in South East Asia, it is not necessary that the second that would occur in the west would be similar. After all, we know that the third and last major earthquake would have its epicenter on land just north of Makkah in Arabia. But it would seem that the mid-Atlantic (rather than the Pacific) may be the location of the major earthquake of the west that is to come. In case the second major earthqake occurs in the mid-Atlantic, the islands of the Caribbean and the eastern coast of USA and Canada as well as South America would be likely to be affected. It could also be a big earthquake in California along the fault.
THE THIRD EARTHQUAKE IN ARABIA Narrated Aisha: Allah’s Apostle said, “An army would invade the Ka’aba and when the invaders reach Al-Baida’, all the ground would sink and swallow the whole army.” I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! How would they sink into the ground while amongst them would be their markets (the people who worked in business and not invaders) and the people not belonging to them?” The Prophet replied, “All of those people would sink but they would be resurrected and judged according to their intentions.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu’minin: The Prophet said: “Disagreement will occur at the death of a Caliph and a man of the people of Madina would come flying forth to Makkah. Some of the people of Makkah would come to him, bring him out against his will, and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An expeditionary force would then be sent against him from Syria but would be swallowed up in the desert between Makkah and Madina.”
(Sunan Abu Daud)
It is quite clear from the above prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) that the third earthquake would take place at the time of the advent of Imam al-Mahdi. But the Imam cannot emerge to liberate the Arabian heartland of Islam until Israel has become the ruling state in the world. And Allah knows best!
THE RETURN OF THE TRUE MESSIAH, JESUS, THE SON OF MARY Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him) has spoken extensively and in minute details about the event of the return of Jesus (peace and blessings of Allah Most High be upon him). But that event is so rich and complex that it lies beyond the scope of this paper. However, my book, ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an’ has dealt with the subject in some detail, and it is to that book that I now refer the gentle reader.
ONE FINAL WORD The destiny of Jerusalem is such as to give to Muslims the greatest confidence and hope that Truth will triumph over falsehood and oppression. ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an’ was written for precisely this purpose — i.e., to explain to Muslims the strange world in which we live today. It is a world in which the cause of Islam appears to be a lost cause. But having read the book the reader would know, if he or she had not already known it, that the reality is quite different. When they know for certain that it is the destiny of Jerusalem to give a spectacular validation of Islam’s claim to truth, Muslims should be able to summon the strength to resist the present war on Islam in which the godless world is making the greatest possible effort to destroy their faith in Allah Most High. Above are just a few examples of some miracles of Prophets of Allah to emphasise that Jesus son of Mary (PBUH) was not the only Prophet and messenger of ALLAH who brought the dead to life.

B) Miracles of Previous Prophets upto & including Jesus son of Mary (PBUH)

(The Miracles that Allah Granted the Prophets)

In the Qur'an there are detailed accounts of the lives of the prophets, of the miracles with which Allah strengthened their faith and supported their message; and of the miracles He gave them as protection against the deniers. Prophets Ibrahim (sa), Musa (sa), 'Isa (sa) and Prophet Muhammad (saas) were among some of the messengers to whom Allah granted miracles, some of which are highlighted below.

Miracles granted to Abraham (Ibrahim PBUH) :
-          Abraham (AS) did miracles with the command of God.  He minced the meat of four birds, mixed it, and put it at four mounds and called them and the four birds were raised to life and flew towards him.
-          He was thrown into flames by Nimrod but Allah ordered fire to cool down for Abraham (PBUH) and he remained safe.

The fire that Ibrahim (sa) was thrown into became cool:
The idol worshippers were angry with Ibrahim (sa) as he had criticised their gods, so they plotted to throw him into the fire, but Allah protected His messenger by a miracle. Allah tells us in the Qur'an that, at His command, the flames did not harm Ibrahim (sa):
We said, 'Fire, be coolness and peace for Ibrahim!' (Surat al-Anbiya': 69)
The birds that Ibrahim (sa) had cut into pieces came back to him alive:

When Ibrahim said, 'My Lord, show me how You bring the dead to life.' He asked, 'Do you not then have faith?' He replied, 'Indeed I do! But so that my heart may be at peace.' He said, 'Take four birds and train them to yourself. Then put a part of them on each mountain and call to them; they will come rushing to you. Know that Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.' (Surat al-Baqarah: 260)

Miracles granted to David ( Daud PBUH) : used to touch the iron and it melted like wax.

Miracles granted to Solomon (Sulaiman PBUH): Allah gave him power over winds and jinns. He used to Command jinn to work as he pleased. Please note it is very important that Jinns obeyed his ordered it does not mean that they were obeying for something in exchange as some infidels claimed. However Allah clarified any allegations against Sulaiman (PBUH) in Surah 2:102)

Miracles granted to Moses (Musa PBUH) :
-           He threw his staff on the ground and it devoured the ropes made snakes by Pharoah’s wizards instantly.
-           He threw his staff in the Red Sea and it gave way to him and to his people, the Israelites.
-          Moses (PBUH) raised the dead person to life (Quran 2:67-73 People of Moses came to him to resolve a dispute of a murder case, Moses (PBUH) ordered them to bring a cow, sacrifice it and throw its part on the body of the dead and he came back to life and told who had murdered him)
Musa (sa) was granted miracles by Allah which he used to invite Pharaoh and his courtiers to the Right Path.
Musa (sa)'s rod turned into a serpent and swallowed the ruses of the magicians:
He said, 'If you have come with a Clear Sign produce it if you are telling the truth.' So He threw down his staff and there it was, unmistakably a snake. (Surat al-A'raf: 106-107)
'Throw down what is in your right hand. It will swallow up their handiwork. Their handiwork is just a magician's trick. Magicians do not prosper wherever they go.' (Surah Ta Ha: 69)
Musa (sa)'s hand became as white as snow:
'Put your hand under your arm and press it to your side. It will emerge pure white yet quite unharmed, another Sign. In this way We show you some of Our greatest Signs.' (Surah Ta Ha: 22-23)
As Musa (sa) and the Bani Isra'il fled from Pharaoh and his people, a miracle of Allah allowed them to escape unharmed while the deniers perished:
Musa (sa) struck the sea with his rod and a way opened through it:
And when the two hosts came into sight of one another Musa's companions said, 'We will surely be overtaken!' He said, 'Never! My Lord is with me and He will guide me.' So We revealed to Musa, 'Strike the sea with your staff.' And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Musa and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. (Surat ash-Shu'ara': 61-66)
The Miracle granted to Yunus (PBUH)
Yunus (sa) was miraculously saved after being swallowed by a fish:
Yunus too was one of the Messengers. When he ran away to the fully laden ship and cast lots and lost. Then the fish devoured him and he was to blame. Had it not been that he was a man who glorified Allah, he would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are raised again. So We cast him up onto the beach and he was sick. (Surat as-Saffat: 139-145)
The Miracle granted to Zakariyya (PBUH)
Zakariyya (sa) was told he would have a child in his old age:
Then and there Zakariyya called on his Lord and said, 'O Lord, grant me by Your favour an upright child. You are the Hearer of Prayer.' The angels called out to him while he was standing in prayer in the Upper Room: 'Allah gives you the good news of Yahya, who will come to confirm a Word from Allah, and will be a leader and a celibate, a Prophet and one of the right-acting.' He said, 'My Lord, how can I possibly have a son when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?' He said, 'It will be so. Allah does whatever He wills.' (Surah Al 'Imran: 38-40)
The Miracle granted to Maryam (PBUH)
Maryam always had food with her:
… Every time Zakariyya visited her in the Upper Room, he found food with her. He said, 'Maryam, how did you come by this?' She said, 'It is from Allah. Allah provides for whoever He wills without any reckoning.' (Surah Al 'Imran: 37)
Miracles granted to Jesus (Isa Son of Mary PBUH) :
-           Cured the blind and the leper.
-           Even he raised the dead to life (On request of a mother he called her daughter from the grave and she came out frightened and returned back as dead)
'Isa (sa) was granted miracles from the time of his birth and throughout his life, which have been detailed in the Qur'an:
Remember when Allah said, ''Isa, son of Maryam, remember My blessing to you and to your mother when I reinforced you with the Purest Ruh so that you could speak to people in the cradle and when you were fully grown; and when I taught you the Book and Wisdom, and the Torah and the Injil; and when you created a bird-shape out of clay by My permission, and then breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission; and healed the blind and the leper by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I held back the tribe of Israel from you, when you brought them the Clear Signs and those of them who were kafir said, “This is nothing but downright magic”.' (Surat al-Ma'idah: 110)
He [Allah] will teach him ['Isa] the Book and Wisdom, and the Torah and the Injil, as a Messenger to the tribe of Israel, saying: 'I have brought you a Sign from your Lord. I will create the shape of a bird out of clay for you and then breathe into it and it will be a bird by Allah's permission. I will heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead to life, by Allah's permission. I will tell you what you eat and what you store up in your homes. There is a Sign for you in that if you are believers.' (Surah Al 'Imran: 48-49)
SO IS  JESUS GOD BECAUSE HE PERFORMED MIRACLES ?

Well then, is Jesus the son of God because he raised the dead? If so, then what about Ezekiel who is said to have raised many more dead bodies than Jesus ever did. Ezekiel is said to have raised a whole city from thedead (Ezekiel 37:1-9)

If we are looking for Godly powers and miracles as proof of godliness then what about Joshua who is said to have stopped the sun and moon for one whole day: (Joshua 10:12-13). Can anyone but God Almighty do this?

Elisha is said to have raised the dead, resurrected himself, healed a leper, fed a hundred people with twenty barley loaves and a few ears of corn, and healed a blind man: (2 Kings 4:35, 13:21, 5:14, 4:44, and 6:11.)

Elijah is said to have raised the dead, and made a bowl of flour and a jar of oil inexhaustible for many days (1 Kings 17:22 and 14.)

To say nothing of Moses (pbuh) and his countless miracles. Of his parting of the sea, of his changing of a stick into a serpent, of his changing of water into blood, ..etc.

There are many other miracles mentioned in the Qur'an besides those outlined above. These and other miracles all occur by the command of Allah and in the way He wills. In the Qur'an, Allah says:

We sent Messengers before you and gave them wives and children. Nor was any Messenger able to bring a Sign except by Allah's permission. There is a prescribed limit to every term. (Surat ar-Ra'd: 38)
Bringing the dead back to life:
"Then he cried out to the LORD , "O LORD my God, have you brought tragedy also upon this widow I am staying with, by causing her son to die?"  Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried to the LORD , "O LORD my God, let this boy's life return to him!"  The LORD heard Elijah's cry, and the boy's life returned to him, and he lived.   Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house.   He gave him to his mother and said, "Look, your son is alive!"  (From the NIV Bible, 1 Kings 17:20-23)"
"But the child's mother said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So he got up and followed her.   Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the boy's face, but there was no sound or response. So Gehazi went back to meet Elisha and told him, "The boy has not awakened."  When Elisha reached the house, there was the boy lying dead on his couch.  He went in, shut the door on the two of them and prayed to the LORD.  Then he got on the bed and lay upon the boy, mouth to mouth, eyes to eyes, hands to hands. As he stretched himself out upon him, the boy's body grew warm.  Elisha turned away and walked back and forth in the room and then got on the bed and stretched out upon him once more. The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.  Elisha summoned Gehazi and said, "Call the Shunammite." And he did. When she came, he said, "Take your son."  (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 4:30-36)"

Jesus' dead body (Jesus never died so there isn't one yet) never caused for any dead to come back to life, but Elisha's did:
"Elisha died and was buried.  Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring.  Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.   Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz.  (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 13:20-22)"

Creating life:
Jesus only restored life, but never actually created one from scratch.  Moses, however, did create a live snake from a wooden stick:
"Then the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?"  "A staff," he replied.  The LORD said, "Throw it on the ground."  Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.  Then the LORD said to him, "Reach out your hand and take it by the tail."  So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.  (From the NIV Bible, Exodus 4:2-4)"

Curing the blind:
"When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" the servant asked.  "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."  And Elisha prayed, "O LORD , open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.  As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD , "Strike these people with blindness." So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.  Elisha told them, "This is not the road and this is not the city. Follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for." And he led them to Samaria.  After they entered the city, Elisha said, "LORD , open the eyes of these men so they can see." Then the LORD opened their eyes and they looked, and there they were, inside Samaria.  When the king of Israel saw them, he asked Elisha, "Shall I kill them, my father? Shall I kill them?"  "Do not kill them," he answered. "Would you kill men you have captured with your own sword or bow? Set food and water before them so that they may eat and drink and then go back to their master."  So he prepared a great feast for them, and after they had finished eating and drinking, he sent them away, and they returned to their master. So the bands from Aram stopped raiding Israel's territory.  Some time later, Ben-Hadad king of Aram mobilized his entire army and marched up and laid siege to Samaria.  (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 6:15-24)"

Healing leprosy:
"Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, "Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed."  But Naaman went away angry and said, "I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.  Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than any of the waters of Israel? Couldn't I wash in them and be cleansed?" So he turned and went off in a rage.  Naaman's servants went to him and said, "My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, 'Wash and be cleansed'!"   So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.   (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 5:10-14)"

Feeding hundreds with few loafs of bread:
"A man came from Baal Shalishah, bringing the man of God twenty loaves of barley bread baked from the first ripe grain, along with some heads of new grain. "Give it to the people to eat," Elisha said. "How can I set this before a hundred men?" his servant asked.  But Elisha answered, "Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the LORD says: 'They will eat and have some left over.' "  Then he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the LORD.  (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 4:42-44)"
So as we clearly see from the above verses, Jesus' Miracles were not unique.  Therefore, they can never be used to prove that he is the Creator of the Universe.
