ANALYSIS OF JOHN 1:1-18 (PROLOGUE TO JOHN LATER ADDITION TO THE GOSPEL OF JOHN)

ANALYSIS OF JOHN 1:1

Dr. Bart D.Ehrman and Dr. Jerald Dirks (Doctors of Divinity) the renowned scholars of Bible say that this verse is a later addition to John's Gospel and it was not originally there and was tagged on later.

Solomon is said to have been with God at the beginning of time before all of creation, Proverbs 8:22-3
Infact all souls from the loin of Adam were with Allah Allmighty before the creation of Adam (First man), Jesus (Born 2047 years ago approx.) and Solomon and each and every single human being (Quran 7:172) and the soul of Jesus Son of MARY [ although he was not from the loin of Adam but his similitude is like that of Adam (Quran 3:59) ] was also with Allah so nothing special in it to make any soul bearer in flesh to become God and also the mention of Prophet Solomon PBUH present at the beginning of time in the bible does not mean that Solomon (PBUH) was the only one with God Allmighty before the creation of time. Infact All loins of Adam (soul without form/vessel) was present before the creation humans including Solomon and Jesus (Peace be upon them).

However still we will present an Etymological analysis that even if John 1:1 is considered as a truth by Common Christians this can be interpreted as follows:
John 1:1 - Simplified
In the beginning was Allah’s command (word) [KUN] is in the knowledge of Allah, and that command (word:KUN) was with Allah and that word “KUN” Order to “Be” created Jesus [BE AND HE WAS] son of Mary the messenger of Allah. That word was said by Allah around 2047 years ago so to speak when Jesus was born in the womb of Mary (PBUH). So basically Jesus son of Mary (PBUH) is just created on the Order or Command of Allah.

Now read Etymological analysis below
In the beginning was the word (λόγος 3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, "speaking to a conclusion") – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. [Kalimatullah i.e. “Kun” meaning “Be” i.e. Order to “Be” from the “Kun Fayakun” or “Be and he was”]) and Fayakun is the resulting creation which can be any creation of Allah including Jesus son of Mary.

Kun Fayakun is also reminded 3 times in the Quran as it had been said specifically about Jesus son of Mary pbuh at the time of Jesus son of Mary’s pbuh creation around 2047 years ago as follows:
1. She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is! Surat ʾĀl ʿImrān, Sura # 3, Aya # 46-48

2. The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: “Be”. And he was. Surat ʾĀl ʿImrān, Sura # 3, Aya # 58-60

3. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, “Be”, and it is. Surat Maryam, Sura # 19, Aya # 34-36

Kun fayakun is the word which Allah used for creation of everything including the creation of Jesus son of Mary pbuh. Kun (كن) is an Arabic word for the act of manifesting, existing or being. In the Qur'an, Allah commands the universe to be ("kun!" !كن), and it is (fayakūn فيكون).

"Kun fayakūn" has its reference in the Quran cited as a Symbol / Sign of God's Mystical Creative Power. The verse is from the Quranic Chapter, Surah Ya-Sin. The context in which the words "kun fayakūn" appear in the 36th Chapter, verse number 77–83:

And the word (λόγος 3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, "speaking to a conclusion") – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. [Kalimatullah i.e. “Kun” meaning “Be” i.e. Order to “Be” from the “Kun Fayakun” or “Be and he was”]) and Fayakun is the resulting creation which can be any creation of Allah including Jesus son of Mary.

was with God (θεόν - The God Allmighty 2316 theós (of unknown origin) – properly, God, the Creator and owner of all things (Jn 1:3; Gen 1 - 3).)

and the word (λόγος 3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, "speaking to a conclusion") – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. [Kalimatullah i.e. “Kun” meaning “Be” i.e. Order to “Be” from the “Kun Fayakun” or “Be and he was”]) and Fayakun is the resulting creation which can be any creation of Allah including Jesus son of Mary.
was (a) god (θεὸς a godly person i.e. a messenger of God)

Jesus son of Mary is known as Kalimatullah in the Quran i.e. God’s word (Kun fayakun i.e. “Be and he was”) meaning Jesus son of Mary was instantly created by these words of Allah just approximately 2047 years ago more or less.

So simplifying John 1:1
In the beginning was Allah’s command (word) [KUN] is in the knowledge of Allah, and that command (word:KUN) was with Allah and that word “KUN” Order to “Be” created Jesus [BE AND HE WAS] son of Mary the messenger of Allah. That word was said by Allah around 2047 years ago so to speak when Jesus was born in the womb of Mary (PBUH). So basically Jesus son of Mary (PBUH) is just created on the Order or Command of Allah.

Solomon is said to have been with God at the beginning of time before all of creation, Proverbs 8:22-3
Infact all souls from the loin of Adam were with Allah Allmighty before the creation of time and the soul of Jesus Son of MARY was also with Allah so nothing special in it to make any soul bearer in flesh to become God and also  the mention of Prophet Solomon present at the beginning of time in the bible does not mean that Solomon (PBUH) was the only one with God Allmighty before the creation of time. Infact All loins of Adam was present including Solomon.

Qur'an 7:172 “When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful."

Therefore none from the children of Adam is going to run away from the oath they had already taken. Children of Adam's hearts have the ability to recognise the Truth. Everyone would have to answer what they have done in this world on the day of judgement. This life is merely a test for the hereafter everyone has been given the chance. Allah already knows who is going to heaven and who is going to hell. The chance people could say that if we had been given the chance we would definitely have worshipped only One ALLAH instead of idols or 3 in 1 or 1 in 3 gods that chance has already been given O children of Adam just check ALLAH told it already in the QURAN 7:172 . Your forefathers are responsible for their own decisions and you are for your own decisions. (Must read http://neurotherapy-of-christian-brain.blogspot.ae/2012/05/on-children-khalil-gibran.html )

“…No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another…” (Quran 6:164)

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” (Deuteronomy 24:16)

None can reject that in these two verses, the first from the Quran and the second from the Bible, is an allusion to the same meaning: that the Just God will never punish people for the sins of others.
No intercession will be accepted unless granted by ALLAH.

Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop – then at once he is an open disputant? And he presents an (argument of) likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. He asks (in confusion): "Who will give life to the bones when they are disintegrated?" Say: "He will give life to them Who brought them into existence at first, and He is cognizant of all creation." He Who has made for you, from the green tree, fire. and then from it you kindle (fire). Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? Yes Indeed! and He is the Superb Creator (of all), the Ever-Knowing. Surely His Command, when He wills a thing, is only to say to it: Be! and it is!" Therefore glory be to Him in Whose hand is the Kingdom of all things, and to Him you shall be brought back.

The term also appears as part of 117th verse of the 2nd Quranic Chapter, Surah Baqara.

(Allah,) The Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.

There are 8 Quranic References to KUN FAYAKŪN:

4. To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: When He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: “Be,” and it is. Sura Al-Baqara, Sura # 2, Aya # 116-118

5. It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, “Be,” behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things). Surat Al-Anʿām, Sura # 6, Aya # 72-74

6. Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, “be”, and it is! Surat Yaseen, Sura # 36, Aya # 81-83

7. For to anything which We have willed, We but say the word, “Be”, and it is. Surat An-Nahl, Sura # 16, Aya # 39-41

8. It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon an affair, He says to it, “Be”, and it is. Surat Ghāfir, Sura # 40, Aya # 67-69

So Allah knows Everything of course and this word. This word is used at the beginning of creation of universes as well as creation of humans and everything.

Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal said:

Ye Kainat Abhi Na-Tamam Hai Shaid

Ke Aa Rahi Hai Damadam Sada’ay ‘Kun Fayakoon’

Meaning:
The Life perhaps is still raw and incomplete:
Be and it becomes e’er doth a voice repeat.

Allah's words are not only Quran they are in original zabur, Taurah and injeel also. Allah's words are saved with Allah. The Quran meant to be preserved by humans is intact rest of books Taurah given to Moses and injeel given to isa son of Mary etc.. partially or fully lost bcz those messages books were for particular specific nations therefore not meant to be preserved by humans till judgement day. Also there are many creations before Adam even Jinns and Angels did sajda to Adam on the order of Allah which means the Jinns and Angels were there before mankind. So Jesus being a human being who came into basic existence long after Adam (Alayhissalam)

Further analysis of John 1:1 : “In the beginning was the Word (ONLY) (hotheous i.e. The God Allmighty), and the Word (ho logos) was with God (God Almighty)  , and the Word was God. (a godly person with small g not capital G which is a mistranslation)”

1) First of all, these words are acknowledged by every erudite Christian scholar of the Bible as the words of another Jew, Philo of Alexandria, who claimed no divine inspiration for them, and who had written them long before John or Jesus (pbut) were born. Groliers encyclopedia has the following to say under the heading “Logos”(“the word”): “Heraclitus was the earliest Greek thinker to make logos a central concept ......In the New Testament, the Gospel According to Saint John gives a central place to logos; the biblical author describes the Logos as God, the Creative Word, who took on flesh in the man Jesus Christ. Many have traced John's conception to Greek origins—perhaps through the intermediacy of eclectic texts like the writings of Philo of Alexandria.”
2) Internal evidence provides serious doubt as to whether the apostle John the son of Zebedee wrote this Gospel himself. In the dictionary of the Bible by John Mckenzie we read “A. Feuillet notes that authorship here may be taken loosely.” Such claims are based on such verses as 21:24: “This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.”????? Also see 21:20, 13:23, 19:26, 20:2, 21:7, and 21:20-23. The “disciple who Jesus loved” according to the church is John himself, but the author speaks of him as a different person. In other words, what we have here is a Gospel which someone wants us to think was written by the apostle John, but which in fact was not written by him.
3) The Gospel of John was written at or near Ephesus between the years 110 and 115 (some say 95-100) of the Christian era by this, or these, unknown author(s). According to R. H. Charles, Alfred Loisy, Robert Eisler, and other scholars of Christian history, John of Zebedee was beheaded by Agrippa I in the year 44 CE, long before the fourth Gospel was written.

4) C.J. Cadoux writes in “The life of Jesus”: “The speeches in the fourth Gospel (even apart from the earlier messianic claim) are so different from those in the Synoptics, and so like the comments of the Fourth evangelist himself, that both cannot be equally reliable as records of what Jesus said: Literary veracity in ancient times did not forbid, as it does now, the assignment of fictitious speeches to historical characters: the best ancient historians made a practice of composing and assigning such speeches this way.”
5) Even if we are to take this verse as authentic, then we must notice the following: In the “original” Greek manuscripts (Did the disciple John speak Greek?), the first occurrence of the word “God” is the Greek word “ θεόν ” (Hotheos) which means “The God,” or “God” with a capital “G” to denote a proper noun. The second occurrence of the word “God” is the Greek “ θεὸς ” (Tontheos) http://concordances.org/greek/2316.htm meaning “a god,” or “god” (any god, not necessarily the almighty) also see its use http://biblelexicon.org/acts/28-6.htm. So, if the translators were consistent in their translation, they would have written the above verse as follows: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god” (If you read the New World Translation of the Bible you will find exactly this wording see here http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/joh/chapter_001.htm ). If we look at a different verse, 2 Corinthians 4:4 http://biblelexicon.org/2_corinthians/4-4.htm , we find the exact same word is used to describe the devil, however, now the system has dishonestly been reversed: (and the devil is) the god of this world.”
Note also that Logos does not mean word in ancient Greek, and the translation of logos to word is a corrupt modern translation of the meaning for word. Funny thing is the Greek word for Dictionary is Lexilogio, which is a combination of two words Lexi (word) and logio (logos = reason/intellect) so you can't say that lexilogio means wordword it means word-intellect, and the purpose of a dictionary is for the knowledge of words.
According to the system of the previous verse and the English language, the translation of the description of the devil should also have been written as “God” with a capital “G.” If Paul was inspired to use the same word to describe the devil, then why should we change it? Why is this word translated as simply a “god” when referring to the devil, but translated as the almighty “God” when referring to a “word”? Are we now starting to get a glimpse of how the “translation” of the Bible took place?
The apologists always manage to conveniently side-step this issue by conveniently forgetting the Hotheos/Tontheos problem and never mentioning a valid explanation for why one word was translated two different ways in two different verses, but rather, they say “I don’t personally like the New World Translation of the Bible, thus, everything you say is wrong.” Even if you do not like the New World Translation, you still have not explained the selective translation! This is blind faith talking here.
One of the biggest problems with the Bible as it stands today is that it forces us to look at Hebrew and ramaic scriptures through Greek and Latin glasses as seen by people who are neither Jews, Greeks, nor Romans. All of the so called “original” manuscripts available today are written in Greek. The verses of John 1:1 is exactly equivalent to such verses as Psalms 82:6: “I have said, Ye (the Jews) are gods; and all of you are children of the most High”, or Exodus 7:1: “And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh” The Jews had no trouble reading such verses while still affirming that there is only one God in existence and vehemently denying the divinity of all but God almighty. It is the continuous filtration of these manuscripts through different languages and cultures as well as the Roman Catholic church’s extensive efforts to completely destroy all of the original Hebrew Gospels (see last quarter of this chapter) which has led to this misunderstanding of the verses. If I were an American, and I were to tell, for example, the citizens of China: “Hit the road men,” we would more than likely find countless people beating the street with sticks. Did they understand the words? Yes! Did they understand the meaning? No!
Mr. Tom Harpur says in the preface to his book: “The most significant development since 1986 in this regard has been the discovery of the title “Son of God” in one of the Qumran papyri (Dead Sea Scrolls) used in relation to a person other than Jesus.....this simply reinforces the argument made there that to be called the Son of God in a Jewish setting in the first century is not by any means the same as being identical with God
Himself.” For Christ’s Sake, pp. xii. (please read chapter 13 for more on the Dead Sea Scrolls)
Further refuted :
§  These (john1:1) are NOT the words of Jesus [peace be upon him].
§  These are even NOT the words of John who is supposed to be the writer of Gospel According to St. John. The words of John 1:1 are acknowledged by most reputable Christian scholar of the Bible as the words of another Jew, Philo of Alexandria (20BC-50AD), who claimed no divine inspiration for them and who wrote them decades before the "Gospel Acc. To St. John" was ever conceived. Of course , Philo was not writning about Jesus [pbuh].
§   According to the verse :
Word = God
So let's put God on every occurrence of Word :
In the beginning was the GOD, and the GOD was with GOD, and the GOD was God.
Does this make sense ?? Moreover, according to the above verse you have got TWO gods which contradicts the teaching of Jesus [pbuh] : "The most important one, " answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Mark [12:29]

§  The New Testament was written in greek. The word for god in Greek is Theos . The first time when God appears in the verse it appears in the form of Ho-Theos meaning The God while second times it comes in the form of Ton-Theos meaning a god [ with small 'g' ] or A Prophet because Prophets are called god in the Old Testament as :
“I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ Psalms [82:6]
However, the Bible translators have put a capital 'G' at the second place too. This is a deliberate mistranslation because they cannot come out of what they are programmed to believe.

§  The Biblical Scholars have reversed their system while translating the verse of II Corinthians [4:4]
"(And the devil is) the god of this world".
     [II Corinthians 4:4]
Here, "Hotheos" has been wrongly translated as "the god", instead of "the God".

§  In Exodus [7:1]
"And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh".
    [Exodus 7:1]
Why is a small ‘g’ used here for God instead of Capital ‘G’?

Jesus [peace be upon him] is not God , He never claimed to be God ; He was one of        the mightiest messengers of God !!

1)      Prologue to John’s gospel i.e. John 1:1 etc.. is a later addition (Courtesy Dr. Jerald Dirks Doctor of Divinity)
2)      Gospel of John scholars have long recognised that the Epilogue found in chapter 21 where Jesus had several resurrection appearances before his disciples was NOT originally part of the gospel of John but was tagged on later it wasn’t originally there this is common view among the new testament scholars throughout Europe and North America but all of our manuscripts have it so what is the original text of John with 21 or without 21 and what about the prologue of John the very famous passage john1:1 this passage from prologue of John has numerous themes found no where else in the gospel of John and the writing style is radically different from everywhere else in the gospel of John so that many scholars thought that chapter 1 to 18 were added to John before even it got published yet all the manuscripts have it so which is the original text        [Debate: Dr. Bart D. Ehrman Is the Original new testament lost University of North Carolina at Chappel Hill USA Feb1, 2012] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd_dWHCpDas

Also Check out John 5:7. Extra words were inserted as the content of John 1:1 which talks about two Gods not three in the beginning. As this contradicts trinity, they add extra words in John 5:7
The real covenant sent by YHWH to all mankind will be glorifying and praising only him, the Creator Isaiah 42:8 only one religion fits this description from YHWH that is Islam.
As Pauline Christianity glorify and praise other than YHWH (The unique singular creator).

So Dear reader what you really need to know is What was "The Word"?
"O people of the book! commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which he bestowed upon Mary, and a spirit preceding from him so believe in Allah and his messengers. Say not "Three," desist! It will be better for you, for Allah is one God. Glory be to him. Far exalted is he above having a son. To him belong all things in the heavens and the earth. And enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs."
The Noble Qur'an, Al-Nissa(4):171
In the Qur'an we are told that when God Almighty wills something he merely says to it "Be" and it is.
"Verily! Our (Allah's) Word unto a thing when We intend it, is only that We say unto it "Be!" - and it is"
The noble Qur'an, Al-Nahil(16):40
This is the Islamic viewpoint of "The Word." "The Word" is literally God's utterance "Be." This is held out by the Bible where thirteen verses later in John 1:14 we read:
"And the Word was made flesh".
In the Qur'an, we read:
"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: 'Be.' And he was."
The noble Qur'an, Aal-Imran (3):59.
Regarding what is meant by Allah by "a spirit preceding from him" I shall simply let Allah Himself explain:
"And [remember] when Allah said to the angles: 'I shall create a human (Adam) from sounding clay, from altered mud. So when I have fashioned him and have breathed into him of my spirit, then fall down in prostration before him'"
The noble Qur'an, Al-Hijr(15):29
Qur'an 7:172 “When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful"
Finally in the above Ayah,  ALLAH says that All children of Adam already were with Allah and all of us including Jesus son of Mary and you and me testified that ALLAH is our Lord who cherishes and sustains us.
