SABBATH was never on Sunday or Saturday but on FRIDAY

SABBATH was never on Sunday or Saturday but on FRIDAY

" All people were but a single nation, then Allah sent Prophets, givers of glad tidings and warners. And He sent down with them the Scripture with the truth, so that it might be the judge between people as to that in which they have differed and disputed. And non did differ and dispute therein, save those unto whom it ( the knowledge of the Scripture ) was disclosed, after the clear manifestations have reached them, because of injustice amongst them. Then Allah guided those who believe unto all of which they used to differ and dispute therein, regarding the truth, by His leave and permission. For Allah does guide whomsoever He wills unto a path that is straight. (Al Baqara: 213)
  • The Prophet PBUH said: " We are the later that shall preceed on the Day of Resurrection. We are the first to enter the Garden ( Paradise ), although the knowledge of the Scripture has been disclosed to them before us, and the same has been disclosed to us after them. Then Allah guided us unto all of which they used to differ and dispute therein, regarding the truth, So Allah has guided us unto it. Hence people are to follow us in that respect. Morrow is the Jews' and the day after is the Christians'. "
  • " Ibn Wahab said: Abdur Rahman ibn Zaid ibn Aslam narrated of his father concerning His ( i.e. Allah's ) words: " Then Allah guided those who believe unto all of which they used to differ and dispute therein, regarding the truth, by His leave and permission.", So they differed and disputed concerning Friday, So the Jews made it Saturday, whereas the Christians made it Sunday. Then Allah guided the nation of Mohammad unto Friday. .....( quoted from Tafsir Ibn Katheer) details at the end of the article.
  • Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) already told Jews disputed about Friday. Which we have discovered now today:
  • Note why the Jews were confused, differed and disputed and changed original Friday to Saturday this can be seen even today (see their (Jewish Rabbis) below discussion which is self expanatory) :
The Sabbath, the International Date Line and Jewish Law
Now that the Pacific island of Samoa has changed from the east side of the International Date Line to the west—to be in sync with Australia and New Zealand, its main sources of tourism and business—I’ve been wondering if there are any implications inJewish law. When will Samoan Jews and Jewish tourists observe the Sabbath?
Jews worldwide celebrate the Sabbath, or Shabbat, on the seventh day of the week. But what happens when a country skips a day and changes their Friday to Saturday?
Date line runs 180° east of Jerusalem—these islands, as well as Hawaii, were always west of the line. So until now the Sabbath in Samoa was actually on Friday, but now it will be on Saturday.
Samoa - Since Jerusalem is 35° east of Greenwich, the date line would be 35° east of the current International Date Line, or 145° west of Greenwich. Accordingly, Hawaii and parts of Alaska would be on the western side of the date line, and the Sabbath in Hawaii would be on Friday.

“The whole of Alaska had the same question (although it is uncertain if any Jews were there at the time) when changing from a territory of Russia to one of the United States. The Russian "Saturday" became the American "Friday" etc. Such things happen. But can the community then change their 'custom" if there was a prior one? • Friday sunset ushers in the Jewish Sabbath, for the Hebraic calendar is lunar, which means their days end at sunset. Hence, Friday sunset heralds the beginning of Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath. The problem facing the Jews was that Jewish law forbade leaving dead bodies hanging overnight (either on cross or on gallows-Deuteronomy 21:22-23), but also forbade taking the bodies down and burying them on the Sabbath. It was an Old Testament Catch-22.
  • Paulicians (an early Christian sect) boycotted Christmas on the grounds that it was an illegitimate holiday constructed as a concession to the pagans who worshipped the rebirth of their Sun-god three days following the winter solstice, on December 25, at the annual festival of Sol Invictus (The Invincible Sun). Sunday was always regarded as Sun worship. Paul the fraud with pagan Roman alliance changed the sabbath to Son worship Its simply satanist paganism.
  • It was the Roman Empire that changed the Sabbath without authority or direction from God to Sunday, therefore disobeying the commandments, while Jesus followed the law of Moses

  • Genesis 17: 9-14 and Exodus 20:8-10

     Genesis 17: 9-14

9 And God said unto Abraham: 'And as for thee, thou shalt keep My covenant, thou, and thy seed after thee throughout their generations.
10 This is My covenant, which ye shall keep, between Me and you and thy seed after thee: every male among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of a covenant between Me and you.
12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner, that is not of thy seed.
13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised; and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken My covenant.'
    Exodus 20:8-10
    8 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;
    9 But the seventh day is a sabbath unto the LORD thy God, in it thou shalt not do any manner of work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
10 for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

  • “Neither slumber nor sleep overcomes Him.” (Quran 2:255)
  • 9. O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew! 10. And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah.
  • When the Call of prayer (Adhan) is proclaimed leave all business/work etc... and gather for prayer and after the prayer is finished you can start the work the same day of gathering.
  • So Jumah means gathering. On the same day Jumah (Fri- DAY) you prepare (take bath (takes Maximum 1-2 hours)) for Salat-ul-Jumah and gather in the AFTERNOON on Fri-DAY to Pray in gathering (takes Maximum 45 minutes) and after that WORK AS USUAL. ALLAH NEITHER SLUMBERS NOR SLEEP OVERCOMES HIM (2:255) So Allah has ordered the believers to start work/business after you finish prayer for the rest of FRIDAY. THERE IS NO SEVENTH DAY REST. PRAYER IN GATHERING IS ALREADY OVER ON FRI-DAY TIME i.e. Jumah Mubarak (Gathering of Blessings).
  • Allah created everything in 6 days so when he created Adam? on the sixth day and Allah GATHERED all jinns and angels to bow down to Adam on the sixth day but Iblees (one from the Jinns) disobeyed Allah in arrogance. So the day of original gathering is the sixth 6th day. Seventh day rest is a flawed concept from the beginning. So originally Gathering for worship was never on the Seventh day but on the sixth day itself. But Jews were punished by ALLAH to do gathering on Sabt (Seventh day) instead of Blessed day Friday Jumah Mubarak. So they came up with the idea of forging the Bible that Allah rested on seventh day and tried to justify and hide their punishment. Allah refuted their allegation "ALLAH NEITHER SLUMBERS NOR SLEEP OVERCOMES HIM (2:255) ".
  • I'll try enlightening the significance of The Jummah:
    1. Allah has blessed us a complete surah about Jummah Surah Al-Jumua.
"O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew." [Al-Quran 62:9]
    2. The day of Jumu'ah includes an hour during which all supplications are accepted. Abu Hurayrah, narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
"On (the day of) Jumu'ah is an hour during which Allaah gives to a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for.”[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim].
    3. The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ), said:
The best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it Allaah created Aadam. On it, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday.”[Ahmad and At-At-Tirmithi].
    4. The charity given in this day is more virtuous than the other days of a week. The Messenger (ﷺ) said:
"Charity given during the day of Jumu'ah is greater (in reward) than any other day."
    5. It is a day on which sins are forgiven, as narrated by Salmaan (Ra.) who narrated that the Prophet, (ﷺ) said:
“Any man who performs Ghusl on Friday, perfumes himself if he has perfume, wears the best of his clothes, then goes to the mosque and offers as many prayers as he wishes while not harming anybody, then listens quietly while the Imaam speaks until he offers the prayer, will have all his sins between that Friday and the next forgiven.” [Al-Bukhaari].
    6. Dying on Friday, during the day or night, is a sign of a good end, for the one who dies on that day will be protected from the trial of the grave (i.e., Allaah The Almighty will enable such a person to be steadfast during it). The Prophet, (ﷺ) said:
Any Muslim who dies during the day or night of Friday will be protected by Allaah from the trial of the grave.” [At-Tirmithi and Ahmad].
    7. It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Whoever does Ghusl on Friday and causes (his wife) to do Ghusl, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.” (al-Tirmidhi, 496)

ALLAH (GOD) says in the Quran about Sabbath as below:

In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful

4:46. Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. If only they had said: "What hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe.
47. O ye People of the Book! believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming what was (already) with you, before We change the face and fame of some (of you) beyond all recognition, and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers, for the decision of Allah Must be carried out.
48. Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.
154. And for their covenant we raised over them (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai); and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant.
155. (They have incurred divine displeasure): In that they broke their covenant; that they rejected the signs of Allah. that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said, "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah.s Word; We need no more)";- Nay, Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy, and little is it they believe;-
156. That they rejected Faith; that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge;
157. That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
158. Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;-
162. But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so we sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed.
163. Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression.
164. When some of them said: "Why do ye preach to a people whom Allah will destroy or visit with a terrible punishment?"- said the preachers:" To discharge our duty to your Lord, and perchance they may fear Him."
124. The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences.
125. Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.
126. And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient.
127. And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah. nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.
128. For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good.
65. And well ye knew those amongst you who transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath: We said to them: "Be ye apes, despised and rejected."
66. So We made it an example to their own time and to their posterity, and a lesson to those who fear Allah.

Surah 62. The Congregation, Friday
1. Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
2. It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered an apostle from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-
3. As well as (to confer all these benefits upon) others of them, who have not already joined them: And He is exalted in Might, Wise.
4. Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty.
5. The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but understands them not). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah. and Allah guides not people who do wrong.
6. Say: "O ye that stand on Judaism! If ye think that ye are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if ye are truthful!"
7. But never will they express their desire (for Death), because of the (deeds) their hands have sent on before them! and Allah knows well those that do wrong!
8. Say: "The Death from which ye flee will truly overtake you: then will ye be sent back to the Knower of things secret and open: and He will tell you (the truth of) the things that ye did!"
9. O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew!
10. And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah. and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.
11. But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)."

And they differed and disputed concerning Praying, where some of them kneel, genuflect, or bow, but do not prostrate, whereas some of them prostrate, but do not kneel, and some of them pray while talking, and some pray while walking. All the above is quoted from Tafsir Ibn Katheer.
